vanilla makes some people extremely mad
What’s turning me off is the behaviour of the players in game.
People are being so ridiculously selfish and behaving like jerks. Classic is about the community, if you can’t behave like a decent human being go play retail where you don’t have to interact with other human beings.
Most definitely a “I had one bad experience and I’m letting it paint the whole picture” moment
I agree. I’ve had a pretty good experience except a few sour mob competition moments. Like how in westfall I dotted a mob and then not 1, but 3 people tried to steal tag. I don’t care for that so I’m waiting another week so I can level where mob tagging isn’t an issue. I know to group up too which I do. But some players don’t, they would rather have mob competition.
That’s what made it so great.
That’s exactly what Retail offers. Classic offers a different experience.
Aren’t choices good?
I dunno, maybe it’s because I get bored with PvP easily and decided to go PvE this time, but Dreamscythe has been CRAZY busy almost 24/7. I had an idea for an alt, rolled it, and couldn’t even do the first quest in the NElf starting area so I decided to try coming back at 2am my time (11PM system time) and it was still complete insanity. Waited another few hours (1am system) STILL crazy but I was able to get through the first 6 levels - albeit at about 2-3× as long as it would take on a normal ERA server.
I rolled a dwarf hunter this morning and within 20 minutes of picking up skinning and LW, i was already at 75 in both and half way to my first gold just from all the boars, bears, wolves, snow leopards, and wendigo corpses left by other players. (I make leather armor kits up to 60 LW and vendor them because they sell for 100% of mat cost)
It may not be very busy in PVP realms but in PVE it’s got a very similar feel to OG vanilla WoW. I’ve been enjoying the nostalgia.
Haven’t received this on Horde side. Think it’s time to switch factions, IF you can.
Gets 1000x easier once you’re 20+, as most people give up and make other alts by lvl 20.
Dreamscythe is still popping off even in starting zones.
War Within is vastly worse.
Ignore people and move on.
Yep. I took an era break sunday to swing by cata. And got a full BRD run on a leveler there. That was actually a nice diversion.
I get what a need from many varsions of wow lol. I Just felt like cata for a few hours out of the blue. I don’t ask for cata features here. I have cata for those features.
This week is touch and go playtime for me. I won’t be shattering leveling speed records. I go on a trip over the Thanksgiving part of the week.
Missing a few days there with travel time…I didn’t sweat 2-3 more hours lost on Sunday.
If I do era till I fly out, ngl, that be more seeing all the other people killing bears, worgs and worgen in silverpine and skinning what they leave lol. All I’d have time for really. Which I am fine with, it helps the LW leveling lol.
Yep. 85% of people start to feel the grind start to kick in at the low 20’s and either reroll or quit.
I’m lvl 32 and the zones empty out by the time they get to the end of Darkshire.
I get asked multiple times a day to join guilds but I’m waiting until I’m near the cap to see which guilds turn out to be worthwhile and which ones crash and fail.
You’re 32 three days into fresh and wondering why the zones you’re in aren’t as full of players?
I can tell you the 20s zones are filled to the brim right now.
I’m not wondering anything.
I’ve been back in the 20’s zones just this morning and they are deader than disco.
But if I go back to the starting zones there are people everywhere, talking politics and about what they are going to reroll to.
LOL. Ok.
Why people feel the need to make up these lies is beyond me.
Whatever dude, I’m standing in the GY where Mor’ladim is and other than me there are 2 people, during prime time.
I’m not saying the GAME is dead ,I’m saying most people don’t make it past the 20’s.
I did a /who Duskwood of every class and they all came back 50. That’s a minimum of 400 people. And probably much, much more.
If you believe there are 50 people on the same shard, in the same zone i have a bridge to sell you.
If there were that many people there you would have 10 at every major questing area in the zone.
Those goalposts must be pretty heavy to carry.
And 50 is the max it shows. It could be 500 for each for all I know. What I do know is trying to quest there, either you group up or don’t bother. Which I like. And this is the pve realm; the pvp has even more.
Anyway, Fresh is popping off. I’m surprised there’s still so many people even into these zones. Obviously the herd thins as the levels get higher, but this is quite impressive for another Classic server just 5 after the first. With SoD going on, and Era, and Cata, and Retail. Yet they still get these amounts of players.
