Can we get some insight into your findings detective?
World buff dispelling is a cancer. On Grobb multiboxer shaman lives in BRM. Please consider removal of world buff dispell. Even though Iām priest Iām strongly against it. Just make world buffs to work only for PvE and to be not dispellable.
How about no!
My god the amount whining from PvPers is insane. What a bunch of care bears.
In your opinion itās not PvP. By the rules it is acceptable, period. If he got over half his WBās before being killed isnāt āinstagibbedā. Be smarter and you can avoid it.
Not that I totally disagree with you on the WB argument.
BUT the guy being banned for something that has been in the game for 15+ years because some streamer has a GM in chat and is pissed off about losing his buffs is a joke. Whether you or I think itās pathetic isnāt the point. He should not have been banned for it.
On PVP servers, World Buffs are a privilege, not a right!
Agreed!
Love WBs. But i knew the risk that came along with PvP servers. Anyone who advocates against this belongs on a PvE server, because they arent ready for PvP servers
Ban the GM and ban streamers.
He sure showed integrity with how he checks notes banned a guy because a streamer didnāt like him, for doing something that isnāt a bannable offence, and doing so in 5 minutes or less, at the streamerās beck and call.
Yup. Thatās what integrity looks like, according to Misadventure.
You mean reverted?
My whole point was that Blizzard would have more details than we. Iām glad that the system worked out today and that they chose to take it more seriously.
I suspect the GM involved is probably having a bad day today ā¦
The classic community is way too harsh. On both sides of this situation, itās just so toxic I canāt believe the stuff iāve seen.
Remember, at the end of the day, this is just a video game guys.
It has nothing to do with PvP. Itās about people who stay dead in BWL orb room only to rez and to dispell someone from a raid that about to enter BWL before die again. Itās nothing but grieving. It will continue on AQ40. If you lost your buffs in raid on raid wPvP then PvP happened.
A paying customerās legitimate account being revoked because some dude had a pocket GM is worthy of outrage.
It is just a video game, and having that time and money stripped away because a person following the rules made some one else grumpy is entirely unacceptable.
A good start, but it doesnāt address the streamer who seemingly paid one of your staff to ban a player for inconveniencing them with PvP on a PvP server. Iād hope that thereās further investigation into that streamer, but I wonāt hold my breath. A GM making a poor decision in a vacuum is bad, but that they made that decision at the direction of a non-staff member is deeply troubling, especially when itās at the direction of someone who managed to get their own ban overturned through similar means.
what happened to the guy is toxic
what is happening to the blizzard employee and streamer (who has apologized) is also toxic
world buff dispelling is toxic
min/maxers are toxic
itās just a never-ending cycle of toxicity responding to other instances of toxicity. itās an unhealthy community at this point and itās sad to see
GMs are not devs.
No, thatās whining from PvEers who rolled on PvP realms for some reason.
Real PvPers donāt cry about PvP happening on a PvP realm.
Not liking =/= toxic
Itās a PvP server. Itās right there in the blizzard TOS that the solution to PvP on a PvP server is to reroll/transfer to a Pve server. I legitimately can not emphasize with this mentality that because itās something you donāt like, it must be āgriefingā.
Itās not even that hard to deal with, summon a bait player, let the dispel nerd pop up to dispel the person who comes out of the portal. Immediately kill the priest, then youāve got however long it takes them to corpse walk back, to summon the real person.
According to the streamer, he was fired but this is only hearsay. Frankly I would be surprised if the GM involved here kept his job. His/her conduct was flagrantly unprofessional. GMās shouldnāt be buddying around in streamersā twitch chats. The fact that the GM was there when this happened is troublesome. How long was he in that twitch chat?
That is what people signed up for by playing on a PvP server though. They consented to every moment of it. It could be labeled toxic, sureā¦but it is within the rules of the game.
Having your time and money stripped from you for playing by the rules because it made someone else upset is unacceptable. And equating the two is absurd.
