Dampening and mana existing is fail in development and combat devs not evolvling gameplay.
Dampening favors anything with absorbs which makes disc priests a lot more versatile as stacks start mounting. Really bad planning IMO.

Not enough all hybrid healing is tuned to the ground because streamres are BabyRage someone is smart enough to use self heal and not die.

dampening has always been a lazy solution to balance healers vs dps.
Crazy how there’s no damp in wrath and games still end in a reasonable amount of time…
I don’t see double Hybrid Comps in 2S anymore because they have 0 chance to survive with dampening. Also not so much deffs like pure DDs.
Try to heal with an Elemental Shaman.

99,9% of all comps left are Heal+DD in 2s (mostly Assassin+Disc or Demo+Heal)

actually crazy how in wrath double dps 2s in wrath seems pretty legit outside of r/m esp if the other team has a ret pally.
hybrid healing in wrath is odd in that its really pretty strong, but doesn’t feel oppressive. Crazy how good the game can feel when there’s some semblance of balance.
Sending a glacial spike through some guy for 350k at the 3 minute mark would be pretty funny.
Yeah… At least more fun than healing someone for 1% Hp at minute 3.
If they want games to be over after 3 minutes make it feel cool at least and not weak.
Because they nerfed / straight up removed everything that people had to counter healing in their quest to make nobody unique so we could “bring the player not the class”.
They had something like that, it was awful

Dampening is a bandaid fix for lazy balancing.
There is no way in hell they are going to adjust anything at all that could possibly make queue times longer right now.
Less damp means longer matches.
You add a minute to each round and you are doubling the queue time for DPS.
Given I dont play a healer atm, how bad would it be to cut dampening, double the mana cost of all heals and stop drinking in pvp?
Sounds like disc wins every fight. They use DPS spells to heal.
