You think so??? Because the oooonly reason I resubbed was to play classic where the entire game 1-60 feels challenging & I have to think about what Iâm doingâŚ
If they make enemies do no damage & I just skip around azeroth without a fear in the world, thatâs retail & I will quit.
The difficulty is a huge main draw for reclaiming lost subs & blizzard is trying to get away with it. Hide garbage retail gameplay by concealing it in the vanilla wow. You get back old players who quit, while you retend the retail players because theyâll play, defeat one dungeon just as easy as they do on retail, then classic becomes their newest expansion & wow had secured subs for a year
Why do you keep using private servers, many of which have openly admitted they overtune the content to keep things challenging, as evidence in this argument?
Youâre wearing the wrong set of rose-tinted goggles. I remember having to think and to worry, too, but I was also 14 at the time I played Vanilla. WoW was my first experience of a real MMO with the âcomplexityâ that it offered.
I donât understand how youâre not getting this - just because a group of twinks is not getting hit by elite mobs does not mean that literally everyone will have that same experience.
When everyone is bored in October bc gameplay is too easy you can talk to me then. Iâm okay with agreeing to disagree until then. No itemization or out playing allows you to kill a boss 12 levels higherâŚ
Oh yeah⌠So 4 levels higher on my paladin. Giving me a bare minimum of 10 higher defense skill⌠while being in all mail & a shield⌠Means I should take triple the amount of damage as a 30 warrior⌠Bc itemization lol⌠In lvl30 capped azerothâŚlol
Obviously you do; but thereâs a huge distinction between a Boss and an Elite. Elites donât hit as hard as bosses do when theyâre higher than you are. If youâre decked out in full level 30 Superior Gear (which this group was) theyâre hitting against players at the same level of power as a level 38-40 character.
Blizzard has a 1.12 client in Irvine. They arenât giving us even that.
What we are getting instead is a game with the rulesets of Vanilla from a time when years of buffs went to players and nerfs went to the npcs, a game where the itemization was overhauled for the streamlined class/raid design meta of the next expansion, and a game thatâs scripted differently enough than the original that mechanics donât play like the original despite having the original ruleset (more or less), and whatever layering is mashed all on top of it.
I like how when Classic was announced the guy was talking about ice cream and he said he likeâs cookies and cream, then he dramatically says something like and some people like vanilla. This is more like butterscotch swirl with malt ball toppings.
