the players selling the runs don’t need to pay anything other than a sub
this isnt pay-to-win because youre not getting an advantage over anyone. every single player in this game has the potiental to gain all of this without using a boost, hence it isn’t pay to win.
I know math is hard. But I encourage you to learn to count. It will help immensely with your career and even your performance in game.
I think at that point it gets complicated, what does Blizzard do? Remove the token? Ok, let’s imagine the token is gone AND somehow Blizz has eradicated the ability to sell gold just for the sake of argument. What do those players who primarily get their gold from tokens do?
Learn to make gold and manage their spending? What if they are beyond help and quit? As a company you don’t want your players to quit so you try to solve the problem but how do you get people “enough” gold without also causing massive inflation (WoD garrisons)?
And the many “communities” that front for outside businesses spamming endlessly in trade chat because carry runs sell. And the players who will take real money from whales who have already maxed out their tokens for the month. And of course, the devs, who are intentionally changing the game to make carries indispensible for those not already at the top.
Its easy to identify gold sellers and traders Blizz has logs. Gold must trade hands some where. They have the AI.
Get some new material.
Well, they’d have to learn real quick what to do or they’d be in big trouble lol… Sink or swim.
Edit: I’m beginning to think the real problem with this game right now is gold farmers and tokens. There’s no sense of urgency to do what it takes to survive in Azeroth, it takes all the fun out of the game.
The fact that we don’t see complaints that “I was unfairly banned as a gold-seller” means that’s not happening. Whales will go somewhere else if they can’t pay and get more after they’ve reached their token limit.
It turns out I am not allowed to enjoy myself.
I thought only Blizzard used the fun metric, but now the people who pay to carp post are taking it away too…
Oh wait, no that is hilarious! What do you think the metric is on that demographic? What’s that 2% Bob, well, that’s the forum people who don’t play and keep paying us to post.
Obviously the change that needs to be made is to make it even harder to break in for players on the learning curve and top gear being even more indispensable. That way you can sell even more carries at an even higher price.
We dont see it cos they dont care. That is until it effected the mythic first race. Ya remember that.
Having the top gear is not making you a better player though.
If you are prone to standing in fire, you are still going to burn.
You start handing it out like candy what’s the draw? Where’s the carrot?
The lack of self awareness is adorable.
Lets go through these points together, perhaps it can enlighten you.
100 points for completion. Well that doesn’t depend on time and going slower is actually to your advantage.
50 points for time. We can just strike this off the list right away.
Some additional points for using Empowered. Given your argument we can assume you are too dense to use Empowered at all. Zero points here.
20 points for killing floor 5 boss in 20 seconds. Again this seems an impossibility for someone of your… ability.
Collect 30 anima powers, 10 points. Ah here we have something you could even do.
Defeat 2 Elites within 10 seconds of each other, 10 points This is probably impossible for you, but it doesn’t depend on going fast so I’ll include it. Against my better judgement.
Floor 5 boss killed in under 40 seconds, 10 points. I don’t want to give you this, but at floor 5 with 30 anima powers, you should be able to do this.
No duplicate Anima Powers, 15. While this doesn’t depend on time, maybe you get unlucky and don’t really have a choice.
Defeat the floor 5 boss with at least 500 Phantasma remaining, 10 points. This is purely up to you, and should be easy if you are taking your time and don’t need to kill things fast.
No elite enemies reached 4 stacks of Unnatural Power, 15 points. Another one you simply cannot possibly do.
No epic Anima Powers, 10. This is easy, just don’t click purple. Well it should be easy.
90% of [Ashen Phylacteries] destroyed, 5 points. Should be a gimmie considering you are taking your time.
Opened treasure chests, 5 points. Again a freebie.
Collect at least 5 Obleron Armaments of the same type, 10 points. This should be pretty easy, I’ll give you credit for this one.
Assisted a denizen of Torghast, 10 points. Another freebie.
Robbed a Broker, 5 points. Freebie on every wing except maybe the fire one.
All [Soul Remnants] freed, 10 points. Another freebie.
No trap damage taken, 10 points. This should be free, but I have seen people fail this. I’ll give you credit although I probably shouldn’t.
So lets see, that is 205 points without timing it at all…
Note I gave you a zero for empowered and left 50 points off of the bonus list, all of which do not depend on you going fast or timing it.
1/10 - One of the lazier troll posts today.
Well, in his defense, it has been several days since someone posted this bs. It wouldn’t be GD without it somewhere on the front page.
This run started at 5:17p PDT and ended at 6:22p PDT, over an hour, but apparently the clock stops while you’re near a broker (so it only shows 29.5 min on the score). Still I only got +5 for time because I afk’d for like 20 min on Floor 5.
Also some other guy just posted in this thread. So yep, totally can be done.
Its called a progression system man.
Tracking progress has been a staple in video games for a long time.
Ghost mode in racing.
Accuracy /kill count in shooters.
Stop trying to find problems.
People been buying and selling runs of all types in World of Warcraft. Nothing has changed since orginal retail vanilla no different to this day either lol.
