There’s so many threads from them but a big lack of interaction from CMs or Devs, it’s a jut a little mess like GD with a lower sample of players, a lot of those players don’t even interact with each other, maybe because the sample for a specific topic is a even smaller portion of those 100 players…maybe at this time the current batch only has like 5-7 pvp players…etc.
CM promised more communication, I didn’t see any thread asking for the changes regarding the last patch in retail…
10.2.5 had:

Dragonrinding in Old Zones and Outland Cup Event.
Lore : Dragon Isles Epilogue / Gilneas

Azerothian Archives
Holiday Updates
For all those topics, Council members already did threads with concerns, Why the CMs didn’t create any thread for this patch and gather feedback?
Yupp.
To respond to feedback sensibly was unfortunately never Blizzard’s strength. No, not even in Dragonflight, although it’s marginally better than Shadowlands. Unfortunately, the devs still seem to be too stubborn.
I honestly don’t know why my fellow CC members don’t come here often. Though some have some pretty hot takes and were chased away because of it but not me. I know I make mistakes but I’ll own them if I catch em. I am after all just a normal player like everyone else.
I took about a month hiatus due to IRL family issues in January and came back in February. But I’ve been around before today and my hiatus in several threads.
CC should have been a forum that invited everyone but with no-nonsense moderation for staying on topic and somehow encouraged meaningful replies instead of one liners. Not like this reply. Hmm… Gimme a moment here…
This makes me so incredibly sad still. Sony just did huge layoffs yesterday and today is EA layoffs.
That is not the point of it though - the forums are one tiny part of a much larger WoW community. They want folks who interact with OTHER parts of it, not the forums. They see the forums every day already. They want to know about RP guilds and communities, discords, deaf communities, pet battles, etc.
They are not elected representatives.
Council was a good idea in theory, but implementation fell a bit flat. Part of my issue with it was that there never was any structure or expectations from the Blues. It was just sort of …free form. When I was on it during the first year it was certainly a bit confusing as to what they were looking for. I don’t think that has changed.
At least they stuck to the promise of keeping the game discussion transparent. Players can see what was or was not discussed.
You saw me in orange for a whole year during my term and you saw Maizou a lot when they served their term.
But we were here before being on the Council. There really is no requirement for the CC to post in GD, esp not the EU folks.
They don’t have to but it could be great to see more council members in the GD, also your comments can disagree with a lot of players but at least if Devs, CMs and other members had a good interaction in those threads, that’ll lead to improvements and the general playerbase could perceive it as a good feedback tool working with different point of view.
That’s not working, We don’t know if Devs / CMs are reading or checking those threads at all…It leads to multiple CC members to create threads asking if its working, if they´re being listened…at least for me that shows a miss managing of this idea.
Exactly my point, it feels like a mini GD forum with a smaller sample.
It unfortunately hasn’t changed. But with Bornakk’s departure things have gotten a little more… quiet. A lot of us are uncertain about the future of the CC at this time and some of us have reapplied but with the shake up at Blizz I think they’re scrambling on deciding to review the applications or cancel the program. That is honestly my thoughts.
Layoffs happened. While most of the Devs were safe, Community Management did get hit some. Not just at Blizzard, but at the other studios under Activision, Xbox, etc.
That is my take as well. It is simply a very logical thing to wonder given the changes. I don’t know successful Blizzard feels the program is and if they feel the resources spent on it are worth renewing it. It WAS better than some secret influencer only forum though. At least people could read it.
He’s been around. You’ve just missed him is all. I mean he’s not in every thread, nor should CC be… Unfortunately colored text seems to put a bullseye on peoples back.
