Is BFA dead when vanilla comes out?

Hence why I love group-finder. It allows me to get in, and get out quick. It’s a business exchange really, it also helps people on smaller realms or other realms to experience all the content.

I also enjoy PvP, however I enjoy playing classes besides Rogue and Warrior so Classic won’t be for me.

So you like the single player experience in what’s supposed to be an MMORPG experience. It really makes no sense to put yourself in the situation of having to deal with people when you hate people.

Yes, I enjoy being able to do the content I pay for quickly, without having to waste hours socializing. I have other things in life that need tending.

What exactly are you comparing here with your OP? You commented on wanting flying and left because of it, which I can understand. That said, Classic being one zone at a time and BFA having WQ across zones are two entirely different things.

I did not play Classic, but if it is anything like any other expansion pre-WQ then you traveled a lot to do your dailies, which would be a more comparable example.

Also as others are saying, apparently Classic wasn’t one zone at a time. Closest experience I had was wrath, and I remember getting some quests then that just made me run all over the place.

No, it won’t be. I think a lot of people will drop from Classic after a bit. They expect it to be Vanilla WoW, but short of creating a time machine, those going off nostalgia will quickly find out it’s not the same community as back then. And that’s a huge deal.

Is? I thought it already was. :joy:

So you decided to put down $15 a month to partake in a MMO when you don’t even want to interact with a single player and hope to get everything done? Well congrats BFA is for you. It’s not well received at all and people that are looking for an actual MMORPG experience will more than likely have a better shot at that in Classic. I just don’t understand your mentality.

That’s like me walking into an IHOP and sitting in the booth talking about how much I hate breakfast every day until the owners decide to add a burger to the menu and completely abandon what made the restaurant great to begin with.

The players have shown time and time again that it’s the community that’s the strongest aspect of the game. If you enjoy abandoning that for about an hour of playtime be my guest. Outside of the 1-2 hour content releases they do I’ll be in Classic.

BfA was dead when it was released. It didnt need any other game to kill it

during xpac lulls I’m sure there will be a spike. Will it kill BFA… no… What will kill BfA are the devs and especially the class devs.

“I’m better than you because I play the game differently. Be more sociable like me.”

If you don’t like the LFG system, then don’t use it. Use people only from your realm, and people in guilds on your server.

So dead it still has plenty of people playing it and hyped about the next patch. People whined and moaned when Legion launched as well.

Please point out where I stated that I was better. This is part of the problem with players like you. You get immediately defensive and make assumptions of what I’ve said instead of trying to engage with the things I’ve typed out.

from what i can tell a large portion of players are going to try classic, but these are alot of players that have already quit modern Wow, modern Wow will prolly lose a decent chunk of its player base to classic. this game is trash and unfulling and classic fills alot of those voids.

You didn’t state it directly, but your post reeked of that intent.

yeah? How many is plenty?

Ive never seen an expansion received so overly negative in my life. forums hate it, r/wow hates it, streamers hate it

Its garbage. Legion had its issues but they were nowhere near the same as BFAs

They’ll find Classic is even more of a grindy mess, and promptly abandon it.

No, you had to travel zone to zone to zone to do chain quests…

Apparently they forgot how vanilla actually worked. That might of been the case in the first zone or two. But more and more quests had you branching out in chains.

Not sure why so many people dog on bfa’s system when it’s not so different in terms of grinding and tedium. The short memories of the supposed people who actually played back then is quite alarming for all the stuff they get terribly wrong.

BC was more accessible, but Wrath went a bit too far. Everything since Wrath has lead to this nonsense. BC was amazing and while I enjoyed Legion, BfA has made me realize how hollow Legion was without the weapons, class halls, tier, and Legendaries preventing some travesty like this nausea inducing azerite.

BC remains wows best version, BfA made me change my mind about Legion (plus Burning Throne was a joke compared to Tomb and Nighthold.)

Nope.

This is actually a very canny move on Blizz’s part. People with rose-colored Vanilla glasses will come back to play it. They’ll remember all the inconvenient stuff they hate. Then they’ll have the WoW that has things like AoE looting and summoning stones waiting for them.
