Dude i thought Safe haven was a cinematic about how thrall retreated to a far off farm because he wanted to forget BfA and the past horrible expansions, and then later in the cutscene he finds out that Saurfang wants him to come back for classic and after being attacked by the gen forums Thrall gets excited and finally agrees to come back to the game.
But then again i watched the trailer with no sound…
No. My post “reeks” of the statement that if you enjoy the single player experience then BFA is for you. Many other players have already been over the fact that they dislike where the game has gone as well as the “in and out” mentality that has been plaguing the game for multiple expansions now.
My post also “reeks” that if people want to have a social experience while playing a game that actually puts in more time and effort in making sure that you’re taking your time and grouping up with other people thus making the game more of a journey then a 5 minute instanced scenario, then Classic will more than likely be the better option.
If you wish to make assumptions based on that then that’s all on you.
So the people crying about artifact grind, and how unfriendly it was to any form of alts, how you couldn’t switch specs due to it? People who whined about not getting BiS legendaries, relics, etc. Legion only started to get good around 8.1 and 8.2.
Yes, the extremely relevant people such as randos on forums, lelddit and a few nobody streams.
to be fair /rwow and streamers hate most things.
when its over can it really get the WoD treatment. I have hope that it’ll get better. legion wasn’t well received until 7.2 and even then there was the complaining about argus and rep grinds.

Legion had issues. Blizzard fixed them by adding to and adjusting the core features.
BfA has issues. Theyre so bad that they are burning the neck completely to the ground and rebuilding it.
Azerite is a complete failure while legion artifacts were successful but needed adjustments
I follow both. r/wow isnt any more negative than these forums, but theyre both in agreement that this expansion blows hard

Retail is by no means dead. BfA is a definite stinker but the people who love retail will continue to love it.
Yeah they are going to lose some amount of players. Some for a month, some for the rest of the expansion and some forever.
Hopefully between Classic, and likely TBC & Wrath, and Modern or Retail that World of Warcraft is strengthened as a whole.
Hopefully after launch the hostility between the two groups will end. I know that I have made a few jokes about one of the camps.
They are burning it down because it was such a monumental failure. The neck was beyond boring. It was legion weapons but infinitely worse with 90% unnoticeable passive gains. And because of the overwhelming failure that is the azerite traits they have started over and chaged their core feature this deep into an expansion. Theyre scrambling to salvage this mess
Everything BfA does legion did better. Its like they took everything in legion and said “we can do that worse”
WoD would be a nice change of pace over this fiasco

There was no random BG finder.
If you didn’t raid in a raid guild, you did jack. squat. All. Day.
someone never did the Violet Tragan quest… or any other quest in Classic for that matter. Cata streamlined questing to maximise time spent in a single zone. Classic sent you all over the place, hoofing it til 40.
hell it was notorious for sending you to different zones 2-3 times in a row. Youd walk for an hour just to turn in those 3 quests
It wont be dead but will lose some people. I unfortunately cant really play atm due to my gpu possibly being on its way out as everytime i try to play wow my pc crashes and freezes. Im having some withdrawels already lol
yap, and when it was a brand new game that stuff was awesome. when it’s 12 years old and u just wanna get the next level it’s like x_x

Yeah i am too tbh. I know it had its drawbacks but it also had its charms.

Or if i just like something different. I plan to play both Retail and classic. Unless its like BfA again. Thats far more painful thatn anything classic will throw at me
