Is BFA dead when vanilla comes out?

It’s not even close to the same experience. I don’t know why it bothers you so much that I enjoyed Classic and am not enjoying BfA now.

I think its because classic represents everything they resented about the game. Granted I’m just guessing, but it puts a lot of the comments about it into context. Hell just looking elseware on the forums you see resentment for basic designs like effort vs reward, slow pacing, grouping up, etc. It makes sense why people don’t like it. Why they act like no one will (despite people who’ve already been playing it)?

That’s where the emotions come into play. I think if someone hated classic, the most rational response could be: cool not for me, good for those who want it. Or even if they are not sure why people want it, but good for them regardless. BfA is the better action game, and has collectables, so I at least get why people like it, despite not liking it myself. But if I wanted to be consumed by bitterness I could start saying things like “you’ll all be gone in a year” despite knowing that the game has it’s audience now.

Did you just miss the big cinematic and all the talk about 8.2?

To be fair BFA died before Classic had the chance to kill it.

BFA is like a leaky boat that’s being bailed to get to the end of it’s journey but it will remain afloat, get patched up in the shop retired and a new boat will get launched.

Oh it doesn’t. Like i said, it just seemed incredibly stupid that your gripe in bfa is flight not being available, yet you’re looking forward to classic, where flight isn’t a thing at all.

It’s not stupid at all, because it’s 2 very different situations.

It’s likely to offer competition, but seeing as you have to have an active subscription to player. Vanilla players are supporting BFA. So the game will be fine overall. Will the developers reference areas successful in Vanilla? Maybe.

Doomsday speculation isn’t really realistic.

This is not how it works lol, if BFA fail and Vanilla succeed, more resource would be put on Vanilla and BC classic server.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

They would probably allocate resources toward it, but Vanilla folks are still overall supporting WoW in all ways. BFA included.

The thing with classic though is it works more the less they touch it, so I really don’t see the need for classic to siphon time and effort from BfA. If BfA does manage to get worse it’ll be from it’s own volition.

No!

This is wrong, Ion already said they have to recreate many spells in Classic because they just dont work with BFA client, see the Eyes of the Beast interview.

Okay, so aside from getting it back to how classic is suppose to be… once they learn Classic is better off what then? Maybe a tBC server, or even a wrath server maybe some day… but what else would they work on in regards to classic once they get it close to right? Again, aside from getting things close to how they were, classic works because they don’t/won’t touch it with new stuff.

… because there were no WQs

The game’s no where near dead, sure classic will take away a lot of people away from the game for a month or two, but then when 8.2 hits BfA will get most of it’s players back.

I’m sincerely hoping Classic over takes BfA, but it won’t happen.

How is it stupid? Classic is built with a no flight mentality and for you to go on an adventure and conquer everything on foot. Expansions past that are built with high and broken off locations that enhance the overall experience once you have flight.

No, but I give 3 months max before people from classic flood GD begging for players to go play classic when they realize they can’t fill a group for UBRS or Strat, let alone MC and Ony.

Why would this be the case?
