Those people that didn’t enjoy the original version probably aren’t playing classic.
AV was being changed long before BC was even a thing.
If either of those had consistent guaranteed times sure.
You know, you don’t need to encourage a group of horde to camp greys in Lakeshire, but they still do it. In Classic, in 2019. No reward or anything. They might just be having fun. If that group wants to defend an objective in AV, it’ll take a lot more enemies/gear to stop them in 1.5 than in 1.12.
The original version is one of those things that’s nifty to do once in awhile but not all the time.
I’m not arguing against the old version. I never was. I’m arguing against this circle j of discussions acting like 1.5 is some magical fix to all of av’s zerg
Okay, cool.
How does this convince Blizzard to release 1.5 AV? What are you trying to accomplish here?
No one is arguing that. What we are arguing is to trend in the Vanilla direction.
Again, refer to my MC example.
1.11 is trending in the vanilla direction.
1.5 or 1.8 is even more so
How do you figure that?
Believe me, you’ve already proven yourself to have nothing meaningful to say. I think I’ll pass
Because it’s further away from the retail version of AV in both timeline and differences
I don’t know what your arbitrary definition of “fix” is, we know the majority of games are likely to be zergs. But again, you create the -possibility- for those options to be used. Vs no possibility by removing those options. You remove the possibility of that variety. So why -not- have it there? You’d have to argue that it’s somehow detrimental to the game.
Well no actually 1.11 AV existed before reinforcements for longer than any previous version. So I would say 1.11 AV is the most vanilla AV version that survived longest before the retail version with reinforcements.
And this is all BS. The exact same game is going to be played out in each av no matter the version.
If the enemy wants to zerg and you guys don’t send a lot of people to defend. It’s going to be zerg game with none of the ‘magical’ things you guys are talking about. If everyone decides to run around and do quests. That’s what it’s going to be. The version isn’t changing this. Full stop.
I’m not arguing against 1.5. I’m arguing against this nonsense you guys are spitting. BeTtEr cHaNcE fOr No ZeRgS. Lol no.
Explain to me how does it not? Mathematically that is. Rather than sending 20 people to stop a zerg, you might only need 10. That’s the point we are trying to make. Not only that, if you want a successful zerg, you need to be more prepared, geared, coordinate etc. Rather than sending maybe 30 guys with 10 afk in the tunnel, you’d need all 40 players to be somewhat trying to actually play
Actually, prior to 1.12, the versions that were prior to 1.11 lasted longer. 1.12 AV only lasted maybe 5 months before patch 2
1.12 did not have AV changes, the last major changes to AV prior to reinforcements were in 1.11
Saying we’re getting 1.12 AV just means we’re getting the version of AV that existed in 1.12 vanilla. But for AV specifically we’re getting 1.11 AV.
And that version lasted longer than the original AV.
Yes, I am aware of that. 1.11 to 2.00 is about 5 months/
I’ll give you a specific example. Let’s say there’s 100 mobs in vans room, did you know that you can pull him out without any of the mobs coming out? Does this slow you down even a little bit?
Or here how about your guards in the towers you were talking about. You know the guards don’t have to die to take them right? Even if there were 400 mobs on the tower one guy could just pull them, run, and someone could take it in the same time and boom they are gone.
I proved this to you already in a video. Seriously stop asking questions when you’re clearly not listening.
