So was Illidan, yet he was redeemed. The only true 3 evil forces I can see so far are(without lore to know more): The light - using us to eventually fight void lords and tip the balance, the void lords - we’ve always been told they are bad and consume things, and a 3rd even greater force above them that we dont know anything about. Everyone else so far has been acting on a way to fight them back and stop being puppets of light/void lords in their stupid war for dominance.
Illidan’s redemption was a “in case of sub loss, break glass”. I remember.
Indeed, and once again we’ll have that when subs dip with Sargeras. And warlocks will rejoice as they will prob get more demon-related content for their class. Except demons will be good, and void lords will be bad guys.
That’s nonsense.

Kil’jaeden and Archimonde are done. They’ve both been used twice, and the latest kills happened in the Twisting Nether, along with the fact that Argus is not feeding the rebirth engine anymore.
Depending on certain situations… He doesn’t simply die because he became a full on demon, we’ve defeated Kil’jaeden too and of course Archimonde before, and they’ve came back. So, unless he was tied to Argus somehow, or still stuck somewhere in the Twisting Nether, he ain’t dead but Kil’jaeden did because he was within The Twisting Nether when we defeated him in The Tomb of Sargeras Raid.
I don’t agree with this. I frankly never understood the reason we were fighting Illidan in TBC and Legion just backed up my initial feelings.
we were interfering in what was his activity against the Legion.
we were the ones in the wrong, in the grand scheme. we were chasing a short-term goal in our perspective. We were fighting Illidan because the Naaru told us to, basically. The same Naaru who tried to … Undemonize him.
I was under the impression that they’re still immortal, it just takes a LOT longer to revive now that Argus is gone (like on the order of centuries rather than a few days)
In fact we know this has to be the case because Mardum exists: it needed to be used as a prison planet because Sargeras killing demons didn’t work due to their ability to reform, and that is obviously before Argus gets corrupted
Indeed, she proved the light was never good, just using as as chess pawns persay. They just try to come off as good by giving powers to mortals of azeroth, with no “side effect” unlike the void gods who let mortals risk insanity to use theirs.
I do have to wonder though… is this still true of people who were NOT demons prior? Keep in mind that before they were demons most of them were Eredar/Draenei like Archimonde and Kil’jaeden, as well as the Fel-Rangari and what not…
As for the topic, Archimonde is dead, the Legion Druid hall campaign takes place in Malorne’s mind and his nightmares, the Archimonde there is just a figment/thought. He dies in Hellfire Citadel.
I clearly watch entirely too much YouTube because I thought this said “Is Archvaldor alive?”
Heh, yeah, except last time Demon Hunters swooped in and hogged the spotlight, and Paladins of all things got a pet Dreadlord
Archie died in the nether so no.
Unless Activision needs to re-bring him back cuz they out of ideas.
Our timeline Archimonde got for some reason pulled to alternate Draenor if I’m understanding things right and well… he’s dead as a door nail and then we killed his buddy Kil jaeden in Legion so…yeah no they’re gone. If that Archimonde we killed in HFC wasn’t from our timeline he’d never of been able to throw alternate gul’dan into our timeline so… yeah I’d say he dead and maybe trapped in another time as well if anything
I find it kinda funny that one of the reasons they brought archimonde back was because they felt they killed him too quickly, only to immediately kill him again.
Archibald just can’t catch a break. King dragon sends his regards indeed.
That was the result of Blizzard scrambling to put WoD behind them and get people excited for Legion.
Except in the case of non demon versions of demons that were once not demons like the eredar. Socrethar died in the nether then another version of him arose when a non demon version became a demon.
Technically archimonde and kj could come back only they would have no memory of their other demon selves.
Illidan is still evil or at a minimum selfish. He fought the legion only because they wanted him dead. His methods were also evil. It wasn’t even greater good like murdering a bad person. It was more like killing a bunch of puppies and kittens to fuel a ritual level bad stuff.
