If so shouldn’t he be the defacto lead of the burning legion now? Seems odd that the demons would just disband into a chaotic mess without Sargeras when Sargeras had a second and third in command. Sargeras is in prison and 'Jaeden is presumably permadead?
Mythic Archmimonde in HFC has you kill him in the swirling bottom so he’s pretty much dead-dead.

Yes he is alive. At the end of the Legion druid campaign, he was fighting with a wild god and they both got trapped in a time stream or something crazy like that and are now fighting forever. The plan was to remove him from the war which they successfully did, at the cost of 1 of their own wild gods.
So if Sargeras ever becomes good again and aids us against void lords, Archimode can be retrieved and he will help us because Sargeras says so.

We fought him (more specifically his soul) in the Twisting Nether and killed him dead. There’s no coming back from that unless the writers decide to retcon it. As things currently stand, he could not be more dead.

When? Archimonde didn’t make another appearance after the druid campaign with the wild god fight. Did they add more lore to a book 99% wont know of with him post-legion?
You killed Archimonde at the end of Hellfire Citadel when Alternate Gul’dan summoned him. His Mythic phase is specifically in the Twisting nether.

He died in HFC. End of story. Unless, again, the writers want to retcon that detail.

You killed his avatar, just like how we killed Sargeras’s avatar in legion. How did he show up in Legion druid campaign at the end then if he was dead?

The demon rules are weird, they exist outside of the timeline shenanigans, there’s only one demon across all of them but they only die-die when killed in the Twisting Nether, which is also the same across all timelines.

Demons don’t exist in various timelines. There’s only one Archimonde, one KJ, one demon version of each demon.
