Yep, been a full “1 day” since my last ticket response, and my reply to it. Going on day four of being completely unable to play the game.
Its getting worse for me

A note has appeared on battle net.
We are aware of an issue that is affecting our authentication servers, which may result in a slow or failed login attempts. We are currently investigating the cause will provide updates as they are available
I’ve had zero issues.
Cancelled my subscription today. no sense in paying for a game I cant play and apparently tech support & customer support are all non-existant at Blizzard. Unless you cant purchase something from the store, then they call out the swat team to solve your problem. What a joke.
Yeah, I’m not far behind from unsubscribing
I was asking for system files to see if I could spot similarities between all the cases of black screens.
My post was relocated by mistake.
If you are still having an issue please collect your DxDiag and MSinfo, post them on Pastebin.com, and link here. I am asking for an external site because they are difficult for me to read in a forum reply (someone asked before posts were moved). This is optional, if you don’t want to do it or don’t want help, that’s up to you. I can’t see your tickets, I don’t work at Blizzard.
Good for you.
Yeah, I’m thinking of doing the same thing shortly. Funny thing is that I just renewed my subscription on Saturday to start finally playing some SoD after not personally being able to play since last August, due to my brother who I exclusively played with for years suddenly dying. I was just finally feeling able to play the game again and two days later… this.

Finger’s crossed we can find anything in these
another RTX 3000 series Directx12…
I rolled my driver back to 546.17 from the most recent 551.61. No change still hanging.
Zeph, your MSInfo part2 is private, I dont think anyone can see it
Two of the reports have GPU drivers only a week out of date. In one other case, the drivers are 2 years old. To rule out GPU problems/fragments from old drivers, make sure you’re doing a clean install. In some cases you may even need to use Display Driver Uninstaller for a fresh install.
Beyond that, I see errors from overlay apps:
- Overwolf
- Corsair iCue
- MSI Afterburner
- Nahimic Audio
- MSI CC Engine/Central Server
I am pretty confident this black screen issue is a third-party app controlling the screen or sitting in the wrong place because it’s not compatible with the recent update.
It’s important to try launching Windows without any other apps loading on startup. You can adjust them in the Startup tab of the Task Manager. To open Task Manager, you can right-click the Windows bar and choose it from the menu.
I also recommend reviewing your own error logs if you want to improve PC performance. If you scroll near the bottom of the MSInfo, you’ll see the error reporting section and all the services or apps you’ll want to address.
These links are dead for me. Check your link in an incognito window first.
Edit: I also want to compare other apps everyone is running, but it will take me quite a while and I wanted to report the findings so far.
I’ve check my driver updates
I’ve updated the pc
I’ve cleaned files
Everything that’s been asked if done
Still nothing
Unfortunately it looks like my last link there is flagged for moderation. I don’t regularly use pastebin so it might be a spam filter or such…? Not sure really. I’m currently disabling a bunch of apps on startup and will report back in a few minutes here.
I would disable absolutely everything, including peripheral drivers. Windows will default to the basic ones without them.
Also, just super curious about this: Does disabling hardware acceleration in the Bnet app or setting it to close when launching WoW fix the issue?
