Is anyone having issues launching their game?

how come ffx14 never has ddos atacks ever and they have more servers that wow

I’m not sure. Let’s not flood this post with comments about the DDoS attack, that can possibly divert the attention from the actual issue this post is trying to draw attention to/have resolved.

Agreed. This is NOT RELATED to the DDOS attack this is a seperate issue.

Probably because blizzard pisses off alot more people with its ineptitude and lack of support to combat the ineptitude?

Also the only way we will get compensation for anything anymore is a class action lawsuit against this giant.

Same exactly problem, same exact time frame on 4 different machines on two different networks. 3 of the machines are Dells but one is a homebrew. Keep making noise so that a Blue shows up and reports it back to the higher ups.

I sent them this post on my ticket. But haven’t had a reply back for 7+ hours. Probably need more to take tickets out and keep bumping this thread.

I got this thread in mine as well. Too bad for me they only entertain my ticket once evey morning and ignore it for 24 hours.

I have a ticket in as well, and their only response (110% autogenerated) was to try the things I explicitly listed that I had already tried when making the ticket. :slight_smile: Hopefully a real human sees this and provides some insight. Am I correct in assuming that all of our issues with launching into a black screen/program hang occured on 2/26 when we had a hotfix?

For context, here’s the list of solutions I have tried with no success:
-WoW file scan & repair
-D3d11/D3d11legacy/Windowed command settings
-Game settings reset
-WoW deletion & reinstallation
-Windows File scan & repair
-Nvidia driver updates
-Nvidia driver reinstallation
-Background program deletion(things w/ overlays such as Discord, GeForce Experience and such)
-Windows Update reversions
-Windows OS wipe and reinstallation
-Cache/Interface/WTF folder renames
-.Net Framework update/repairs/reinstallation
-Copying working copy of WoW from separate machine onto the machine I’m trying to run the game on.
-Running WoW as admin
-Running WoW from different disc drive on pc
-Running WoW from different user profile within pc

All 3 versions of WoW (SoD, WrathClassic, and Retail) are having the identical issue, however other games that I have tested have started right up with no issue (League, GW2, & Hearthstone). This leads me to believe it’s not something driver or windows related, but something specific to the WoW game files themselves.

Windows Event Viewer lists the error as an AppHangB1, and it appears to be happening within the first few seconds the application is launching. I haven’t been able to find any specific process in the logfile that it generates as a potential cause to the error.

Meanwhile, I have now missed 1 night of prog, and another is coming up in 24h. :slight_smile:

If anyone happens to magically find a solution that I haven’t tried, please let me know.

Hardware for context:
Nvidia 3080
Intel I9-10900k
128g ram
Windows 10

Same here, we all had the issue after the hotfix. Put this post in your ticket so hopefully we can have some blue text with a solution post soon.

Did you all see there is a scheduled maintenance tomorrow morning at 7am pst? Could this be the fix?

Yes, same issues as above.
Done everything I can, my old laptop can still play though and it hasn’t updated the blizzard launcher.

Same problem. Occasionally get an error in game, crashes, then can’t load up again, and if I do manage to get in, my WA’s are all gone and need to run a back up every time.

Unfortunately, the problem persists despite the maintenance efforts. Keep bumping the post guys.
