Eh, I enjoyed pvp, the game is just rotting to its core. At this rate we’re just ripping out the floor boards and cheering that the rotting wood was “replaced”, and leaving it empty.
Those times had a pendulum swing. Now we are stuck together
“Joy.” 10/char
You do realize that we can make Warcraft against the burning Legion or the void Lords or the Titans or whatever things come to hurt us?
Everybody got royalty destroyed during BFA and SL and it turned out to be a massive betrayal from so many sides… To be honest at this point if we aren’t picking up the pieces something has gone wrong with the storytelling.
Wars cannot go on forever.
Especially considering we’ve been told multiple times for multiple expansions now that there’s something big and bad out there, much bigger and much badder than sargeras and we are not prepared.
We’re going to make plenty of war.
But as a united front for our planet.
And that’s only reasonable considering the endless external crises we keep running into that affect the entire world equally and doesn’t distinguish between horde and Alliance when it’s after everyone.
Why would they? The name “Warcraft” is broad enough to fit into anything.
War against the primalists
War against the burning legion
War against the infinite dragonflight
All the imposing threats that close in on Azeroth, which stands at the epicenter of the chaos. That is Warcraft.
No, it matters. This is just the end of a very prolonged and contrived plot that pertains to a specific set of characters. That story is over. Now we have a new one to hopefully enjoy.
I don’t feel like we really fought the Alliance.
Just give me one PvP focused expansion/mega update/server.
Warring factions:
Horde - orcs, trolls, tauren
Alliance - humans, dwarfs, high elves
Neutral factions:
Night elves (hostile to Horde), blood elves, goblins, gnomes
Hostile to all factions:
Forsaken
And then the option to turn outlaw for any race and fight anyone - outside your guild/clan.
And no warmode.
I for one am happy to hear it. There can still be conflicts between the Alliance and the Horde, but we don’t need entire expansions themed around it. This is a World of Warcraft after all.
Ah yes, the time were Illidan and Vashj definitely didn’t make an alliance. The time were Thrall, Rexxar and Jaina didn’t make an alliance to kill Daelin. The time were the Night Elves, Humans, and Orcs didn’t make an Alliance to defeat Archimonde.
Horde sucks
From the Alliance
Time for merc mode for alliance!
Or cross faction BGs.
It’s only over until it isn’t. Bliz has already proven no lore is set in stone.
I’m just waiting for cross server/faction guilds.
It’s been over since the beginning of BC when we realized we worked better together to protect Azeroth.
All attempts to reunite the faction war were exercises in Epic Fail repeating idiocy that our characters and the story suffered from collective short-term memory loss and learning disabilities.
Ion finally realized most of the player base (the ones who pay attention to the story anyway) got sick of feeling stupid being forced to play in a stupid cycle of stupid and incapable of learning.
Good? How many times can they tell the same story over and over again. The health of the game is no longer in such a state that half of the population can exist solely in conflict and competition with the other half.
The faction war ended in WC3 at Hyjal.
world of friendcraft
ewwww
You realize that mutual destruction by a foreign enemy is often the same reoccurring theme, correct?
Well after the fact conflicts continued, followed by several ret cons.
That… Would be fundamentally terrible.
The sides don’t even make sense. Why would NE and BE team up? Why would Gnomes leave the Dwarves’ side? How are the Forsaken supposed to make any headway when they’re on their own, the entire reason they joined up with the Horde was that they knew they couldn’t endure by themselves.
Also, War Mode remains the best solution, PvP should be opt-in.
They are removing the war so its just called “of warcraft” now
I’ve kind of been hoping the conflict mostly ends up being handled by Reputations - Like Scryer v Allie in TBC.
