Ion said No more focus on faction war, which pretty much means its over?

It was a great intro after the strategy games, but its run its course now.
Any more labored attempts forcing the issue are reaching into absurdity to keep this ‘war’ alive given how many times the two factions have worked together

Yup I know.

Yes that’s why I wrote they approached it badly.

A faction war is good when it calls for it and works when done well. Blizzard messed it up royally.

Disagree. Its pretty much stated the faction war is over. If anyone is moving the goal post its you. I’ve seen this behavior again and again from people who cling desperately to anything to either prove or disprove something will happen.

meh. Horde will always be evil and Alliance will always be there to kick their butts.

Nothing will change.

Be careful. I am Sith.

The faction division is what makes this game special.
I’m not a fan of this direction in the slightest.

Billion dollar company, when ever these cats say the word … “never” , they dont actually know what that word means. Save this this thread for when a new expansion focusing on the faction war inevitably comes out.

The game is called World of Warcraft, not Alliance vs Horde. There will always be war, (especially as the player character is a genocidal maniac ) because there will always be threats to Azeroth or the persons were aligned with in the narrative. I’m glad they’re leaving the faction war narrative, it was getting old out them in a narrative pigeon hole.

World of Peacecraft!! I’m just waiting for fair elections to be held so we can elect our faction leaders!

About time. Although, tbh I’ll miss the more cohesive, community feel of Alliance. Horde is just so anonymous.

yup. it’s xfaction from here to the sunset.

No, it was pretty much every other expansion.

Dunno why people keep thinking it being called world of warcraft means the world is always at war, when it’s really just the world where warcraft 1 ~ 3 occurred.

World of Inclusioncraft

World OF Warcraft. OF !!!

SEE?!!!? THIS GAME IS ABOUT PREPOSITIONS!!!1111

All this nonsense about Factions… this game is about GRAMMAR!!!1111111

(and if you think this post is stupid, that’s how stupid anyone sounds when they similarly try and make some claim about “war” being in the title)

The FACTIONS … will always be here.

The Faction BARRIER … is going away. 17+ years overdue.

Yeah, yeah, till Ion gets all hot and bothered by the idea of a faction war again.

Yay good makes no sense for My Dracthyr to fight against her own kin :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

We’ve been working together every single expansion.

The lore was deteriorating when the MMO was released. It died in WOTLK, it was dying in TBC. The lore is long gone, everything else is just a stretch with “clever” writing. Just pull whatever spastic stuff out of the hat and see if the masses enjoy it. I much prefer the RTS time period, more conflict, less alliances, more defined lines, and tragedy across the world. Unironically the story was more engaging. These days? I don’t want to read the quests, I don’t care why we’re fighting whatever Big bad bald guy, or whatever tentacle monster, its all the same rehashed stuff.
