I never decline people from PuGs unless they consistently parse 5 or lower or aren’t the right role (like DPS applying when we have 1/2/9). I don’t do content that’s hard enough to justify leaving people out tbh.
Seriously? All you have to do is view your profile here (armory). It doesn’t require an add-on at all.
You are currently using lightning shield, forceful winds, spirit wolf, hailstorm, feral lunge, sundering, and ascendance as an Enhancement Shaman.
EDIT: Of course that information can be viewed using the RaiderIO site as well.
So I guess you’re gonna be kicking people and inviting new ones for every boss? Seeing as different covenants will be optimal for different bosses and different situations the same as it works for specs and classes.
I’m sorry, I just don’t see that happening. Even top guilds won’t be doing that because different covenants will be good in different situations for different specs.
Well most bosses are really easy and don’t take any optimisation to kill. The hard bosses people will absolutely min max for. For example wrathion no one cares what talents they have really because it does anyway. When we get to raden the raid leader says OK time to pay attention because we could still wipe on it.
So, what you’re saying is basically this: Wait till about 6 months after the expac drops before you buy it to see what covenant and leggo is best for each class/spec, then buy the expac and choose accordingly? Cool, I was gonna do that anyway.
Semper Fi!
I mean, how many people actually try to pug hard bosses though.
I don’t see a lot of pugs killing n’zoth mythic.
Even Taliesin laughed a bit on that and admitted that pugs will decline you based on your Covenant choice. This is right at the 24:00 mark in his latest video. And this is from someone who is regarded as a huge Blizzard shill (whether rightly or not).
Yea not a lot of pugs but most mythic groups are more than 20 people and getting sat because you enjoy the aesthetic or the abilities that don’t suit the raid encounter.
People get sat because they’re not a mage or boomkin or whatever is fotm too, it happens in those type of fights.
Demonstrates well how it will effect not just the top 1% like people claim when he is saying its bad too. Not having a dig at him or anything but he is far from a high end player which I’m sure he would say himself.
Exactly and adding another layer on top of that is surely not a good thing. Now it will be you are a mage of the wrong type and you get sat.
Coming from the guy who thought trying to remove flying from the game was a good move… you’ll have to forgive me for not putting too much stock in anything that he has to say from his little bubble.
You can agree with his choices or you can disagree with them but i don’t think anyone could deny that the guys seems to be terribly out of touch.
I’m all for allowing switching, I won’t be doing it, but it seems silly not to allow at least the abilities to be switched. Maybe after a bit of a rep grind or something.
With some covenants being a massive AoE dps boost, and others being single target only, this is definitely going to happen for mythic+ pugs.
Yea that’s my perspective too. Pick one and work on it until revered or exalted or fully done the story or whatever then because you are such good buddies with your first choice they are happy for you making other friends too and you can stsrt again with another one.
That works for me because it keeps them kindnof separate entities but also doesn’t limit people’s gameplay. Win win Imo.
I didn’t even need to watch the Preach video to figure that out, or anyone’s videos.
Ion is sorely mistaken.
They are straight up lying to people to grab their money. Blizz can’t control how people form groups and how they set up such criteria.
Blizzard would have to remove 99% of player agency to accomplish their “utopian gaming dream” which would mean the end of WoW as a MMORPG. I thought shadowlands was about player agency? What happened?
It would also give you more to do in game that wasnt just mindless grinding.
It will only affect the top minority of players that want to min max and race for world first stuff. For everyone else, its whatever.
I can join any +15 pug with super weird talents/azerite/essences and still do competitive DPS because people are not playing optimally.
So, stop trying to be optimal in everything, stop with this min max mentality, be smart with your spec/class so that your build is viable and thats about it. Have fun. Enjoy the ride.
