sounds to me like you will still briefly transform into a dragon when using certain abilities. something like DH popping eye beams and going back to normal
that’s not why people want it, at least myself and the people I’ve spoken to
in warcraft lore the dragons we are familiar with all have human forms, its how we recognize them, so we want the fantasy of playing one of them/having their powers, or as close to that as we can get.
I want to have the choice, and I want people who want to be a full-time dragon to be a full time dragon, they are making these nice customizations in the visage form that I relate to more, and so, that’s what I’m asking to play in combat

I think they weren’t planning this initially, and this is a response to the initial reaction to the preview.
Which is amazing news. Lately they have been far too stubborn.

Tbh I wouldn’t have originally minded if it wasn’t the case but w the amount of resources they seem to be putting on the visage form it feels weird if they didn’t let us use it in combat lol
Nope! Options are good and I welcome the choice my druid lacks (to be able to show my mog without abusing toys for 5min at a time).
Big plans are visage for healer spec and dracthyr for dps. Has flavor to it like a nice cold pepsis.

They should fulfill that fantasy, but as a fan of WoW lore for last 20 years, can confirm they missed the mark.
-No special talent tree for all flights to fit their hero class status
-No gnome, tauren or night elf forms
-Major class fantasies missing such as melee dps / tank
-Reusing blood elf model for a hero class AGAIN
These are my major gripes. Would’ve been neat if it was just a class that all Azerothian races had access to. A special 5-pronged talent tree would’ve been insane. A dragon lancer 2h archetype that uses a polearm and shield would’ve been unique. Ugh, so much missed potential here.

My money says they’re just going to go the Chromie route in Hots. She is able to use all her dragon powers without ever actually turning into one.
A easy way to do it:
When they do any dragon type attack/movement just make a light silhouette appear of a wing/claw
They have done stuff like that before, like that dragon wing trinket from wrathion in the n’zoth raid. Just make the silhouette look like that, but maybe a differnt colour (customizable maybe?)
And that was thought up in 5 secs. How long do the blizz peole need to think it up and put it in? Lol
They did say in an interview that playing as a “onyx is style secret identity” dragon would be an option, so I’m sure scales and horns are 100% optional.

Oh I’m for this,it’ll make the Dracthyr have a meaningful expression in fact all of us.

I’m alway a fan of more options and even if players can battle in visiage it still looks like the dragon abilities will force you into Dracthyr for the duration.
Sounds great and I am not sure why anyone would be against this.
I would also love for worgens to get a glyph that allows claws to be used in place of duel wielding.
Or replace the racial speed boost with an active ability that does a claw flurry similar to the lf dranei nuke.

Fify. It’s possible to love all forms of the new race without forcing how you like the race on others
So my thought on the new race are not as valuable as others only because I don’t agree?
Also Pandaren don’t have a visage form,…

I hope fighting in visage form its strictly optional. I hope you people did not just wish on a monkeys paw and we get a reskinned demon hunter.
