There is help and just flat out carry. Just because you want a +10/+15 doesn’t mean you deserve it because you pay $15/month. I’m all for helping but if the person clearly waiting for handouts because “he deserve help” then why should I? We all started at the bottom. The difference is some of us decided to gitgud. Watch video, learn strats, learn our class. While some just want a +10/15 done for the week doesn’t matter if they time it because hey they didnt work for leveling up the key.
Debatable. Where are this “good” people excluded? Is it what they think they are or are they really mythic quality raider? If they are then they wont take too long to climb up the ranks because they will always get a reinvite. Believe it or not people reinvite good player. Even add them to friends list for future runs.
Not going to defensive. Just stating the fact that people who’s anti IO seems to have it on their head they deserve what the higher end players have acquired.
Let me spell it out for you. There easily 5 people on this post who’s so anti IO. Just get together and run your own dungeon. Don’t have to beg us who like IO.
Here a magic button for you. In game, press “I” select start group. On you title say “F RIO taking anyone” and you can select who you want to run w/. Group finder isn’t about having friends. You have the whole pool of players from both NA and oce to select from if they want to join you group
I think your mind jumps to a lot of conclusions based on things you read in between the lines. I have actually never seen someone say “hey I demand you take me on a level 15 dungeon”. But I have seen 100 raider IO supporters state that it has been demanded. I have seen people comment that this raider IO system may not be perfect and perhaps things need to be looked at to only be meet with severe posts telling them about how they are begging for high level keys.
I have seen and know several nice people who raid who can easy do mythic plus but instead devote that time to raiding and no longer approach mythic plus due to the fact they can no longer pass the bar on requirements. And it is a shame cause some of them where down right fantastic players who where able to carry guildies thru level 15 keys in time.
Your not stating facts. Your not trying to improve things for anyone. Your just trying to keep the system intact because you have mastered how it works and you wish to continue to exploit that advantage to maintain a sense of power.
(BTW: If I have to explain one more time to person that making your own group/ looking for a group ARE BOTH bottlenecked behind available tanks are in fact the same wait time for DPS players I may scream.)
Again the reasoning for this is people want clean stress free run. It’s not demanded but as a dps you will always get 10-20 people queueing up for a +10. If you have an IO of say 500 and there is another person who queue up with 1500. Same ilvl same class. Who will you take? (be honest).
Then show me this people. Coz I’ve seen time and time again people coming from a break who wants to push key and manage to easily climb up the ladder. It’s not hard.

Look up on the post. You have too many hate IO player here. Just invite all of them. Make your own group and stop crying like a big baby
IO Score is nothing more then data its neither good or bad its what people do with the data that people should be upset with its not the first metric players used and it won’t be the last
its in between good and bad, certainly useful in somewhat judging the applicant’s abilities if people actually looked more in depth to the profile instead of looking at just the number. Bad because people exploit the number thing and ask for ridiculous numbers for low keys
I understand and agree with all your points. I just think the system as a whole needs to be looked and adjusted because it is highly flawed.
I know this may blow your mind, but I don’t want in on your precious keys. I just want to occasionally once every 2 months do a 6 key on my 635 main without having to pull out a resume, give a blood sample and give a mission statement and wait in line for 5 days or level a key from scratch. I know it sounds funny, but I wanna play the game in the measly 45 minutes I get free.
The fact is Blizzard made the punishment too harsh for failed keys and it has lead to some obsessively elitist behavior that needs to tone it down a few notches.
Not as selfish as the guy who had a decent ilvl and signed up for my 17 the other day and his io showed he had only done like 2 dungeons and nothing above a 5. I whispered him and said “you know this is a 17 right?” He said “can’t blame me to trying I need to get a key done before reset”.
Without io I wouldn’t ha e found out he had no idea what he was doing until my key was wasted. He was just looking for a free carry. If people want to be carried that fine buy be honest about it and generally for a 10 or costs around 100k.
The people at blizzcon met with the people from raider io. It makes sense to me from a blizz pov to let them be a layer between them and the grumpy selfish player who got declined. Better they blame an addon than blizz themselves.
It happens literally every time I list a key. Someone with nowhere near enough experience will sign up. Because of the free loot for everyone we have atm they are usually geared enough to do not too. If you don’t believe me go list a +10 FH and wait 30 seconds. I guarantee there will be someone that applies that has no business there.
You can make more friends in game. That’s why this game is solo good. It puts people together. I cane back to the game knowing 0 people and did the low keys then the mid keys then the kinda high keys. No I’m mates with the 4th highest lock in the world and someone that got flown to Melbourne for the mdi as well as countless other people that push keys.
Just do content and talk to people.
Oh I still think there’s improvement to be made. On high key I will dissect a person’s IO especially if it’s a key I want to time. And tbh not alot of people know how to do that. But there is still some educated guess that needs to be done. Which sometimes work out and sometimes done.
Not really anything below a 10 I dont care unless it’s a hard week which then that when I get picky
punishment? What downgrade a key? That’s nothing. A downgrade key means you just have to do another 1. It used to be you deplete the key if it fails
I’ve seen it done and I have done it, here is a secret. We don’t actually hold out any hope or illusion that you will invite us. We take absolutely no offence at being declined for those. It’s kind of like playing the lotto. If you can’t find anything else then why not. We assume that you will go for the highest IO on that. No hurt feelings there at all. Heck I even throw in a joke so they know I’m not serious.
Everytime I look at those +15 and higher keys, I think to myself (as a current +9 to 12 player, after a long break), “One Day”. And that one day won’t happen if I don’t work for it.
That is extremely selfish though imo. That is asking to get carried without paying if you do happen to get in. You doing that is exactly why io exists.
I usually throw a joke in to make sure they know I’m not serious. And I do think knowing raider IO exists and is used. Also I primarily do it to people selling runs for gold.
I am sorry you have to deal with those people. But please do not lump all of us together.
Not sure what you are saying, the base score of M+ keys turns exponential at +12 onwards. Thus if you complete all the dungeons at +14 with 0 seconds left you will have a score of 1460.
