IO Score good bad and why?

Sooooo iv been seeing and hearing about IO score for awhile and even been declined myself a few times on my main iv heard the argument that its easy to get your io up or that it helps those doing high end have good players but i have a question for those who defend it [ If its a good system then why hasent blizz implemented it into the game itself ] if you wanna say blizz isent cuz its already there then please dont respond cuz if it was a in game sytem see able without having to get addons or go to another website all together and not something newer players to mythic+ get blindsided by there would be less backlash and it would be thought of alot more like pvp rating now the title says good bad and why so i said what people said how its good now how about bad people who do whats needed and have there profile invis to others will still get declined those doing there own keys can have less people join up because no io or little io if not invis and it makes a more toxic enviroment of be good and do alot each week to keep up and that system once know has and still will scare off those who barely keep up gear wise now they have to keep up certain amount of mythics a week it adds another grind ontop and atm its not a ingame mechanic made by blizzard but 1 made outside of blizz by a addon creator with a website behind it making many feel that its a 1%er tool being used too often because as a addon it should only be a tool not a mechanic you have to deal with to join groups theres my explanation lets see if some people can add to what iv said

Good for those who are serious and running high keys who need others who can handle it.

Bad for those just coming up who are good enough but don’t have a high enough score yet to “prove” it and keep getting denied.

yes but as i said its being used less as a tool and more like a mechanic or req when in fact its a addon and from my perspective a addon shouldent be able to act the way io is and stoping play cuz of others using it if blizz adapted it and made it more of a actual system it would cause alot les hatred from those who cant prove themselfs cuz they dident prove themselfs when mythics first came out in start of expac or have friends to run with

Start on low keys and work your way up.

We all do it.

Its a good tool like dbm and raidframes and ilvl and everything else that isnt/wasnt always baked into the base game.

Also, guilds help, pugs are silly. Many pugs only accept high io to get carried.

  1. It’s already an addon. Why haven’t they implemented UI changes?

  2. They may in another expac or two. We don’t know.

thats what im saying ilvl wasent originaly a mechanic used but now it is now if blizz adopted and made it easier to understand seen more and a sytem to track it without addon or website it would make it easier im saying blizz should add it if its causeing harm from it being not but i also want blizz to either accept it or destroy it so there is no inbetween like there had been last 2 expacs

the problem with that is that in another expac or 2 the sytem might garner too much hatred from those already having a hard time understanding its acting like a mechanic and not a tool like a addon should

Good news.

Just back away from mythic plus slowly so you don’t agro the Elitists who will defend it to their last breath. (slowly backs away) Do not worry I will not try to enter your system and attempt to learn things…its so not worth it… I’ll be over here…with a ice cream cone. (Jedi hand wave: pay no attention to the Lightforged in the corner)

you realize you saying exactly alot of people are saying because this system is added in in a way that only the highend people actually know how to effectivly use it making newcomers act exactly like that steping down after trying cuz they either dont have the time or patience to learn a whole new sytem to keep io up or just cant care enough to learn it cuz its not blizzard aproved

Why have you not used even one mark of punctuation?

The good

  • smoother runs and better results
  • people with io tend to actually know what they’re doing (huge)
  • fewer wipes and stupid/dumb deaths to basic stuff
  • it’s pretty hard to “fake”, it’s a fairly reliable source of data regarding a player’s level of experience

The bad

  • probably promotes leavers if people are only farming io score, and also some people will leave just because they don’t want failed runs showing up on their io page
  • more toxicity? I know it’s anecdotal, but most of the time when I’ve seen a party member spewing (profanity-laced) toxicity it has been a higher io player, lower io players seem more chill when a mistake is made
  • mainly affects DPS players but, the “you need experience to get experience” issue
  • when it is faked, you’ll feel it… for example a lot of FoTM-er Rogues got artificially high io scores due to Season 2 being so easy, and now in Season 3 it turns out a lot of these guys weren’t that good afterall (but “on paper” they looked good)

Listen I know Mythic plus is on my main. If you have limited play time it’s not worth breaking into. You have to run level 1’s that have gear lower then vender gear from the new zones. And for those level ones you have to compete with players with much better scores. Guess what the best score get’s in.

The make your own group solution is a wait what ever way you slice it unless your a tank.

So basically it’s a nice system that people eventually ruined because the system failed to account for basic human nature. It’s a system that no one needs to get geared. It’s a system that nurtures natural cliq behavior and rewards said behavior.

So as a new alt/ player it does not come recommended by me. You may feel differently and that’s you and that’s great.

But for me it’s better to grind pearls.

They’ve accepted it, otherwise they’d have broken it

On your note of only highend using it, when I ran them in legion i was always in discord or gchat helping others get used to it, posting strategy guides and whatnot.

You have to find a good community/guild that likes to help one another, leave pugs for the antisocial types who hate everything.

Its so much nicer playing with friendly people than random pug buttheads.

love the fact you helped others but the problem there is not everyone that knows the system is nice enough or has enough time to teach others

they havent accepted it yet for the fact i cant for the life of me find a blue post or a response from blizz themselfs about it and without that its not accepted or denied as good or bad

and not all have good guilds that can stick together linger then 4 month without either falling apart or becoming toxic

But it is acting like a tool. It’s a way to view someone’s experience in content.

Edit: also

It is accepted already. Just because they haven’t added a system like it into the game yet doesn’t mean they don’t accept it. Also they can’t destroy it, as it only uses numbers that they make available.

OP, I can’t respond to your post because your punctuation io is too low.
