I read through this mess again because I forgot all about it but I did say that to them, that it probably felt like 2600 runs because they were frustrated.
I tried going back to my “stalkerish” ways and I can’t see if the OP has the mount. Armory is showing as an error for me.

Just putting this out there because we’re talking about problems.
Math is also a problem.
But… that’s not actually how stats work. One week’s attempt has no idea what the other week’s attempt was. You have a 0.77% chance at the drop for each individual run. And these runs, for all intents and purposes, take place in a vacuum.
0.77% means you are very unlikely to get it. Period. 100 times? 1000 times? 5000 times? Those are all just individual runs that all have a dice roll of 0.77%.
And I would argue that this percent should be higher at this point. I’d base it on a D20 and make it a 1/20 chance or 5%. Roll a crit for that mount.

But it is how binomial probability distributions work. The most likely scenario is that with 2600 kills it would’ve dropped about 17 times, if we’re still perpetuating the inaccurate .77 drop rate as legit (or the probable lie that it was killed 2600 times by poster).
No they do not. People don’t want to try something 500 times without luck, or even more than 1000 times. This community is so toxic and awful.

Haven’t bothered attempting to farm these “rare” mounts since like ~2020, just seems like a waste of time due to the lack of results
And it’s not like I didn’t have a good enough number of alts, during BFA the Korrak Revenge event allowed me to quickly balloon my roster of random alts from 8 —> 15+ due to the free/afk-leveling in there
When you spend a few hours (literally) running thru this old content due to all the running around and no ground mounts or skips allowed, you get discouraged after a while and lose interest. Manually ground-running thru this old content over and over isn’t fun imo
If there was some way to “directly skip to” the final bosses in these old raids I would be more inclined to keep farming/trying

I really wish they would put a skip to the last or next to the last boss for every raid, like they did SoO.
It would also be nice if they took away the quest that takes a month to complete for the ones that have it.

A skip to Arthas would be nice. I’ve been farming this mount for years across all my characters with no luck. I’m so sick of ICC.

Bet you’d love to have a higher drop rate on the X-45 Heartbreaker eh?
Well all I’m asking for is a skip to Arthas. I don’t think that’s unreasonable.

They should throw in a skip to Kael’thas (A’lar farming) and a skip to Yogg-Saron (roflcopter mount) as well
I already “invested” literal days of /played time into maintaining the roster of alts, just let me “get to it” with these old/outdated raids… “manually” ground-running everywhere (…multiplied by your X number of alts = literal hours of ground-running) is such a slog

I’ve actually gotten this mount about 6 times. I got the mounts when I was farming the legendary and mogs.
Just wait until you can buy it w tendies
The chance of the drop is not cumulative. Every kill has a 0.77% chance of the mount dropping. If you kill LK ten times in a week then that is ten attempts, each with a 0.77% chance of a drop. All you can do is increase the number of tries and hope you get lucky.
You forgot Deathwing, except Deathwing is probably more valid for a skip because my god, all that RP is painful, and as easy as Spine is, it’s incredibly tedious…

I forgot to mention, but we used to have a quasi-“skip” of sorts with the “have 1 alt clear up to Arthas but don’t kill him, list a custom pug group, then swap to your alts and join your own group” and it was a semi-efficient, fast method for cycling a bunch of alts thru for a mount attempt
But at some point it got patched/fixed by devs because “fun detected” I guess?
Literally never heard a single player complain about the method or say something like “I want to clear the raid all over again on every alt!”… so we can only assume Blizzard made the unpopular fix of their own choosing since I don’t recall ANY players asking for the “quasi-skip” method to be patched
You misspelled “exploit detected”.

aahaghghghaahahahahahahah
That’s all?
Try 13 characters, every week for 8 years, 9 months, 2 weeks…
