Ok, I did some math… I came back to wow 2 months before legion and leveled 1 of each class to max during those invasions. I immediately started farming invincible on each character 1 time a week.
I did this religiously until roughly the end of BFA. (I didn’t play the war or rogue so they don’t count.) 10 characters x 52 weeks x5 years is roughly 2600 attempts. (These are just rough numbers.) I am not counting any of the attempts pre-legion or any of the attempts I’ve done in the past 6 months since I’ve been back.
Can we please do something about this drop rate? I think with the amount of money I spend on wow and blizzard games in general(wow tokens every month, mounts, collectors editions, and other Blizz games.) I should be given this freaking mount by now.
For the 2 that responded with “Rare is the whole point!” no this isn’t the whole point. The point is it isn’t supposed to be this rare. the drop rate of the mount is .77% Which means after 2600 kills the mount should have dropped about 17 times.
This would be a problem if you actually killed him this many times.
2600 kills is a pretty serious claim so I clicked on your guild to see how many characters were in it then I checked their raid history to see how many kills you have on each of your “Winter” named toons. There are 7 so I’m assuming your other 3 are Alliance or not in this guild.
My count comes to 121, which is a far cry from 2600. So until you whip out 3 more characters (since you said you were doing this on 10) with 800 kills each on them, then I going with you are not being truthful at all.
I feel your pain OP. Been trying off and on for the mount from Tempest Keep.
I have had several mounts drop simply because I was doing other activities. Astral Cloud Serpent. I was in there for mogs, and did not even know about the mount. First and only time I ever went in there on this character.
Baron Rivendares mount, first one I was farming Silvermoon rep on my BE Paladin. Secodn one on a goblin warlock.
Last week got the direhorn mount out of throne of thunder. Did you know the bird boss has a mount? I didn’t. Just doing rep for Shado Pan Assault.
Now Invincible… That one I was just messing around with my characters. Just looking for mogs. Decided to do one last run for hunter stuff on a new vulpera hunter, only time that character had been in there. Saw the achievement. surprised me because I was gonna go to bed and choose one more run.
Point is, you can be surprised at the most odd time. Don’t go in expecting it, just go in have fun, IE for other reasons. I think your luck is going to change soon. Good luck maybe next week will be your turn to get it.
um so first These aren’t all the same characters. Most of them no longer even exist. Second I’ve been in this guild since the end of SL. I’m talking about just the kills from legion and BFA.
Also, these numbers reset when you race change, faction change, and so on.
