They do not.
You got unlucky mate.
I think mine took about 200-250 attempts. I was farming it on 4 chars a week for about a year before I got mine in Legion.
If you want to know rare: Headless Horse Mount. For maybe 10 years, I did that event on about 10 characters DAILY and NEVER got it. I have a friend that has 3 different accounts and has it on each account…yeah.
RNG is fun, isn’t it?
I feel like the trick is to just not care. I was grinding rep on a toon and had a piece of loot that didn’t want to vendor one time.
Happened again for rags while I was getting the legendary staff on my voker. One piece just didn’t want to DE.
I got two of the the dragons from Dragon Soul while farming gems, but the one mount I do kinda want, never seen it.
when bfa dropped i lost a few mounts that i had invincible was one of them i have opened numerous reports asking for it and one of the others i care about to be restored. all i get is a static response each time with no resolution i open one maybe once a month with no resolution so ive been farming it on all characters every week since while still opening tickets. so i feel you
I did nothing to you. Leave me alone.
Wow, a week later and this pile of garbage is still on fire.
Just buy it….
I read through this thread last night and all I can surmise at this point is I have really good luck in WoW–with the exception of the Panda and WoD world bosses!
You’re absolutely right with your numbers Bigspanky. Blizzard devs explained that to me when I sent them a ticket asking them to check my account to see if there was a glitch causing invincible to not drop on my account 2000 kills.
They also told me that I had unlucky RNG with Invincible, but to keep trying, which I did.
I have a lot of patience when I want something that badly, and it eventually dropped. Some mounts I was very lucky getting. Ashes of al’ar, headless horseman, Cobalt primordial direhorn, aeonaxx, and some others I got with the first try. So it all evens out in the long run I think.
I’ve got invincible after like 30 tries with my only main character.
I’m usually very sympathetic to this argument. But not in this case. There is nothing predatory about it. It is what it is at face value. You pay a sub to play the game. You can play and run the raid for a chance at the mount. You cannot dump huge amounts of money to increase your chances. The game does not incentivize you to obtain it through withholding of power. It’s just a low drop chance. It’s also not leveraging any mechanism like randomized reinforcement to build behavior since randomized reinforcement requires winning some of the time, but here winning even once means you’re done.
People have to take SOME personal responsibility. While I generally agree that games are blurring the moral and ethical lines using psychological tactics more akin to what casinos use, this is a poor example of that.
Today marks 1002 tries at him it is total BS that it should be this low of a drop, I have seen people get him at 10 tries and I have seen people get him at over a hundred but never have I seen it go to over a thousand tries and still not get it, its complete and utter BS
In a truly stochastic environment anything with a probably of happening may never happen.
I could take a puzzle and pour all the pieces onto the floor and there’s a chance that the pieces may connect and form the completed puzzle, however, it is likely this would never occur within a lifetime of testing.
What I’m saying is, you’re not entitled to anything and you should give up on the slightly recoloured undead horse mount
Only 2,600 attempts, I think I’m at almost 5,000 attempts according to rareity.
Face it mate… Math sucks.
No that is not how math works. You have a 1% chance. This means each of your 2600 attempts has a 1% chance. This doesn’t guarantee you will get 1 in 100 tries. It essentially means you have a 1% chance of ever getting it and a 99% chance of never getting it.
In the News Tonight,
Rarity is a hard pill to swallow.
More at 11.
so… about 16 runs per week?
i’m amazed you’d have time to do anything else.
Finally got it the other week after 68 years of farming it religiously every week on 900 characters.
Of course I deleted all 900 of my farming characters and made new ones, so there’s no proof of this, but “trust me”
keep trying
Call me lucky, but I got it after a month and a half of trying for it. And I wasn’t really trying for it as much as I was doing it for the transmogs for my Hunter.
