Found the nub
thats a Mount ?
or Gear ?
It’s a plate mog for the shoulder slot.
It’s literally Garrosh’s shoulder pads. They look great on Orcs and are among the few good shoulder mogs that also look pretty wicked on a Forsaken.
It drops from Garrosh in Siege of Orgrimmar
I used the same link Tovi provide but for my character.
I just want to point out that this isn’t how statistics work. Odds of something happening doesnt mean the expected outcome will actually happen. Your suggest would mean if I flip a coin, that it “should” land on tails one flip and heads the next flip.
Your odds for the drop didnt increase just because you did it on more characters. They are always .77% each run.
Rarest plate shoulders in the game.
Got these beauties in under 200 runs across all my plate characters a few years ago. Def worth.
Same though.
I got invincible after nine years of farming. I do not wish on anyone and wouldn’t care - in fact I’d be relieved - if I saw this mount pop up on the trading post some day. Or as a quest reward, or whatever, it really doesn’t matter.
The farming didn’t make the mount special. The lore and the design make it special and important to me. I wish I’d had it 9 years ago and I’m actually pretty angry I got it just months before Dragonflight took our flying mounts away.
Anyway here’s where I pigeonhole in my proposal for why dragon riding on Invincible would be cool as hell and Blizzard should let me have this.
do you understand how this stuff works?
someone creates a topic.
people discuss that topic with the poster.
I feel like it impacts everyone when people start asking for free stuff.
Except that its 0.77% per attempt, not combined.
I was one of the lucky ones and got it in legion, but there have been others I cant seem to get, IE not one of the rares dropped a mount for me in SL, I only just got the cha after they changed the drop rate etc etc, its RNG, keep it up and one days you’ll have it.
Dear OP,
That is not how it works. Each attempt is a .77% unique chance. End of story. There are no diminishing returns on these things aka, the more you try for it, the higher the chance to get it.
Hehe the way random
Works is that since u were so unlucky there is some dude who got it 17 times in a row without any effort thinking wth why am I keep getting this while he deleted them.
I suppose it never occurred to you they have toons on other servers, and no one needs a guild to solo farm ICC.
Stalker much?
I don’t think you or anyone that has called me a stalker or bully knows what those words means.
Blizzard made your raid boss kill count public. Anyone can see it whether they play WoW or not.
Pointing out facts that Blizzard provides to the public is not “stalking and bullying.”
When it’s rarity based on pure randomness, it’s nothing but horrible garbage game design.
he still says our body is “lying to us” even tho the act of lying is a cognitive choice you make. he keeps trying to defend his takes. But can’t comprehend what “lying” actually constitutes, and wants to attack school systems here as a result lol. Lots of things cause other unintended issues, doesn’t make them lying lol. so i’m sure any other arguments he/she makes will continue to be as obtuse.
Got it 1st try of my 1st lfr raid of my first time raiding and tanking in 3-4 years, a week back into wow 2 months ago. I didn’t even know I had it in my bag. I didn’t even know what it was. I mounted and my heart sunk because it looked bad to me. Then I looked it up and was like well fuq me I wasted my .1 % on this s#*^
Exactly. And everyone flaming Tovi for doing the forums a service by doing research can keep their heads in the sand for this one, too.
Assuming that your “rough numbers” are “roughly accurate” and that the drop rate is actually 1% (per a wowhead sample set of 200,000, it looks like you got “.77%” from a downvoted comment which is not where you go to find droprate lol), we can do a binomial distribution for:
n = 2600
r = 0
p = .01
which results in the chance of zero successes: 0.00000000000448 (0%)
The probability that the OP is being honest here is basically 0.
What if we assume the OP is “greatly exaggerating” and actually only ran ICC 1000 times, less than half of what they claimed?
n = 1000
r = 0
p = .01
The chance for zero successes only raises to 0.00004317124741 (0%).
It’s technically correct to say that it’s “possible” the OP is telling the truth, but the “probability that the OP is telling the truth” is less than 1 in 1 billion.
Maybe they are not running on 25 Heroic.
Just because you’re not comfortable with getting called out for your behavior doesn’t mean we don’t know the definition of words.
The issue isn’t that the info is public. It’s that you decided not to believe the OP because reasons and then chose to crawl up into what you assumed was the OP’s other toons in the members of that guild even though the OP could be talking about 10 toons on another server in another/other guild/s.
It’s fine if you want to see boss kills if you’re screening potential guild, raid, or mythic+ members. But attempting to call someone out over horrific RNG luck is insanely petty, and stalkerish.
