Why do you think you always need everything everyone else has and the effort and reward always has to be identical. Your idea of wow is such a bad boring game. Who cares if you got it on your 10000 and your salty cuz someone else only needed one kill. Yet on another mount it’s reversed. Stop this nonsense dude. You wouldn’t even play wow anymore if they listened to all your ideas.

Same thing happened to me, with the very mount this thread is about.
Took a friend in I had coaxed into finally playing. Damn mount drops for him.
Decides WoW isn’t his cup of tea a couple weeks later…
I’m ashamed to say I was actually annoyed enough to ignore him for a few days. Poor guy didn’t even know what he did and I’ll take it to my grave.
If they change the drop rates on the world boss mounts it makes no sense to leave these that take a lot more time high. After they made the change I got the galleon mount in about 10 kills and I got the Nalak mount on the first one.
A lot of theories about the mind and body, if true, would indicate the mind and/or body is in fact trying to deceive the individual.
Doesn’t really matter. Honestly, Even from the few that like to have their “Gotcha” moments. Don’t try on so many characters, pick one, and just use that one. That’s what I’ve started doing-- putting less emphasis on trying for super rare mounts.
No its bringing attention to itself, this would be self preservation. Like lung cancer, this will shut down your liver and kidneys over time. The cancer isnt doing that the body is in order to alert the person something is wrong that it cant fix.
Depends. Also again on the sample size is this .77% for 10 people or 20, 100, 7000 that is variable factor
The only problem is you can’t see the damn thing!
Always has been
That was ONLY done because of the Evoker debacle. It was a concession for screwing that up.
This Human statistics.
it’s your mistake for thinking people are supposed to farm rare mounts/items
And you’re sure its on Heroic…?
Yeah this is my stance, it’s really redundant to make things like this stupid low drop rates. Like what’s the point, after a certain point too you should get a guaranteed drop as if the probability checks out then you should of gotten it. Unless the actual chance is set to .001%, which even then in theroy it should of dropped for you.
You’re confusing think with know.
He wasn’t stating an opinion.
He was misrepresenting his experience to try to effect a change in the game.
The 0.77% drop rate is just probability and is used for an indicator for how many runs you should probably need to get the drop, which in this case is 130 runs for when statistically you should have seen one drop.
Of course you could not see it after a million runs, but statistically that’d be extremely unlikely given the probability of it. I got tusks of mannoroth after 7 whole runs, but that doesn’t make the drop rate around 14%.
I also don’t know where the drop chance gets calculated from, such as determined by Blizzard or acquired from addons pulling data and relying on self reporting. The 0.77% drop rate may not be all that accurate and could be lower than what we believe it is. If it’s been calculated from millions of runs it’s probably accurate enough to give someone a decent idea of the commitment involved. I’d like to believe they pool a lot of data to get a good idea rather than just test 500 or 1000 runs.
I’m still trying for Ashes and have been on and off for years. I recognize I am an impatient person, but I also wouldn’t want to change the drop rate because it will feel great when/if the darn thing finally drops! What helps me is taking a friend with me in there when I do go. He always offers so that he can trade me the mount if it drops (he already has it) and he’s always super positive about the possibility of it dropping -every- single attempt. The best mount dropping cheerleader anyone could have lol
I do hope it drops for you soon! Don’t give up… maybe not run 10 alts every week because you’ll burn out, but keep on trucking. It’s the only way it will drop
yeah sorry I was just talking out loud at the end there. Not TO you, just… including you in the discussion (as much as anyone else reading it).
