I’m a new player with dungeon anxiety. I’d feel a lot more comfortable being able to run a dungeon with NPCs first, before moving into the dungeon finder.
and admit the game is nearing maint mode? actiblizzion doesn’t admit they failed.
also, ff14’s trust system is beyond awful. needing to run holminster switch 9999 times gets old fast and the npcs don’t try, sometimes even standing in aoes, guaranteeing you wipe. they also can’t res you for no reason.
sorry took so long to reply. but yeah, ill give you that. just to experience the story? then I definitely think they should make a story mode, which gives dungeons blues (at best). the mechanics of the bosses can stay relatively the same (unless theyre super difficult), but will just have to lower said hp of said bosses. itll be hard to program npcs to do mechanics.
but they also kinda already are setting up for it in a way with Exiles Reach dungeon. they had an npc tank/healer. but yeah dungeon blues at best, and id make it so where you can only vendor them for 1 copper else bots will abuse the system.
gw2s story has a similar feel to it with its story mode.
And the fact that being vote kicked on FFXIV doesn’t give you a que suspension, you can que right away and no one takes advantage of it.
I wouldn’t mind this, Trust style system for Dungeons, leave raids for actual people.
Just pretend the other people are NPCs. 99% of the time nobody even talks
The problem is I have a life outside of wow, I care much less about this game then I did five years ago, these days I am getting regular phone calls from people close to me, always wanting to keep an eye on my emails each day, as this game has become a secondary thing to my real life, so this is why there needs to be more options to do most things outside of current tier normal raiding with NPCS, even if they made the current tier LFR mandatory to do with people that would be okay given how easy LFR is.
So I can’t pretend other people are NPC’s, as I accept its rude for me to AFK on them but I know that’s what I will be doing a lot more of when I play wow these days
Ah yes, that would be an issue.
Bring us FFXIV’s Commendation system, I say.
if people dont talk why do people care if npcs were allowed in raids?
nothing will change mythic raiders will mythic casual players can do non mythics and not be a burden or a stress to anyone
there no reason to be against it and state 99percent people dont talk
Yes please. I don’t wanna get screamed at by impatient, crybaby tanks anymore. Trust System was a great addition to FF, one of that best.
Agreed. It’s a cool system.
To put it bluntly, if you want to play solo so badly you want an AI system for dungeon and raiding, go play a single player game lol.
I know this is a difficult thing to explain but I play wow because I actually do like talking to people and having conversations with them, but the fact is, nobody does that in dungeons anymore the culture is too elite for that.
This game needs to become more social like it was in the old days, we need to make wow great again.
Back in the old days it was easier to make friends but now everyone is a toxic church not worth knowing.
If you allow a Trust system, commendations and more FF14 like systems, wow will become a more social friendly place again.
There are multiple discord severs you can join to find groups of people to play/dungeon with or find a large progression guild.
Discord is a third party app.
10 years ago everyone was on Vent, and to be quite honest, Discord as its own big problems, it’s like Facebook for gaming, stuff that. In another 5 or 10 years time, Discord will go the way of the dinosaurs like Vent did, nobody uses that anymore.
That’s why it’s important for things to be in-built into the game, not third-party apps.
still less bad than most wow player tbh.
Another point also is that this kind of behavior might mean the person is actually afk, so it wouldn’t be against the rules to kick based on that.
I hate the trusts in FFXIV because the only do single target damage.
Apparently wow’s current native voice chat option is actually of decent quality, but people still don’t use it because of how bad the old version was.
It isn’t false, one of the core things about MMORPGs is grouping with other players to get things done. WoW of course has changed that over the years. If you want to play a solo game you’re with out a doubt playing the wrong genre of games.
Just because something works doesn’t mean it is is good for the game. People are just now starting to talk about the ramifications the LFG system had on WoW and every other MMORPG that had to put it in because WoW did.
