It is - and it’s a part of the contract for the entertainment committee to disagree and disavow with all concepts pertaining to what I’ve said. It’s all laundering. Scram.
There’s a huge problem with the world wherein people invest a large amount of effort, time and money into the wrong thing even if what they think they’re paying for is potential for a good business move - Like advertising your game to avoid relying on community-made creations (and designing them to make it seem like community made creations). One of them is the WoW e-sports/streaming venture. It was largely unnecessary. Nobody cares about it; There would’ve been ample community contributions, and they get squashed/attacked by the system they paid for because it’s promised to be ‘consistent’ and ‘net results’ based on that potential as a gauged ratio for ‘quota’ and ‘response’ patterns.
Streamers are personalities from someone else as studied and practiced for a business venture. It’s the way the world works. Money doesn’t work like you’d think it does. Unfortunately, it comes from a very dark, unexpected place. It’s inherent of the world: It’s turned into a very dark and misinformed, mis-documented nightmare. Most people can’t agree, or they’ll suffer with their self-obligations as they’ve made them. If you think about it: It’s a business, it nets revenue and if that’s something someone decides to accept or rely on you need to maintain a consistent showcase for that to keep generating revenue as a whole. Contracts, choreography and studied personalities. Nothing you see online, or on TV, is reality. It’s not that the concept is a bad thing inherently, it’s that it was done wrong and is in-fact a bad thing as wrongfully conceived and as-is, now.
I cannot promote that portion of ‘gaming culture’ for any platform. It’s all bots and feed ‘culture’.

The funny thing about ‘Pro’ anything is the concept of planned, isolated creation. The ‘pros’ you see in any sport are chosen, bred and trained to be that person from childhood. It’s the way it works. From FIFA to NBA and all in-between. There is no sudden stardom; most of the time people know that and say nothing as they’re paid to be the ‘padding’ for what packages the whole fantasy rise-up-from-young career opportunity and engage in team-play on sports or event-based activity.
The thing you can do with online streaming is deepfake. When you see something in the media it’s been honed, harnessed and used for decades beforehand. They plan to reveal and educate based on an agenda of who needs to see and what needs to be seen. It’s what IA’s do. Practically all of the streamers you can see are roots of someone else’s dialogue and design and do not look, sound or act like what that is.
It’s like TV; but again, the industry decided to do things the wrong way and there is force, trauma and brutality involved in the harvesting and creation of these ideas and concepts. It’s just sad.
Everything just feels so programmed these days. For example, all the content creators I’m subbed to on YouTube, all dropped some version of solo leveling comedy skit with jinwoo “aura farming” in the same day, 10+ channels. It’s matrix type crap like that, that just turns me off to all forms of the entertainment industry.
You know, though, to be completely fair this could very-well be the outcome of signing a contract during a honey-moon revenue phase.
I highly doubt the company as a whole was cackling in their boardroom office about how their new entertainment or planned e-sports showcase was detrimental, affected their game’s balance/performance and/or contained stream personas built from other’s suffering.
It is as easy as being advertised as ‘This sells. Look!’ and someone going ‘OKAY IM IN!’
On the other hand, this is completely plausible, and we all might be getting shagged.
Action combat MMO’s have ‘snowflake’ communities pass around a neat executable that, depending on the game, makes you less hittable to people who aren’t using it.
Blizzard is still the greatest tab-target experience.
Final Fantasy 14 is not actually Japanese. That’s, again, a marketing campaign for its look and feel. There were lots of asian developers for the style of the MMORPG and even more from India and Pakistan! Not everyone likes it. I adored it for its reborn launch. It’s very easy, it’s more for the casual or PvE-centric gamer.
Illidan made everyone throw up in ‘Black Temple’ as an initial release. There used to be a disclaimer entering the dungeon that it caused nausea and/or vomiting, dizziness, anxiety. That’s how crazy tech and corruption is. Could it be that this company is just milling tears or are they the wrongful implication of everything that should be completely sane?
(In short, it was scrubbed from the net but seriously people were getting hammered by angry supremacists over ‘Black Temple’. You can probably figure why and who would be angry at that name? The concept of ‘Illidan’ was supposed to be that of someone Ill over someone else’s intellectual capacity. It’s why he’s wanting to end the world with 4 sided lightsabers and scowls at a big-brain skull for hours on end.)
If anyone wants to gawk at what I’m saying their working with the same style of idiot or otherwise are, like you said, delusional from my own opinion.
People throw around big words, concepts and theory that they seem to have spit out from hours of practicing responses with chatGPT or instagram foul and it gets less ‘huh u mad bru’ or ‘lol u ok fam??’ responses than things I post or someone else whom understands the concept.
Who knows, maybe it is blizzard and maybe it isn’t? I remember how hysterical the controversy was surrounding Burning Crusade. It’s another moment of whether or not it was intended.
You do realize that at one point WoW PvP streamers were some of the biggest on Twitch (or Justine tv at one time) right? The tournaments they did were a big deal. Had regional, sometimes they traveled to Europe to compete from NA etc? WoW esports at one point was decently big (arena).
This isn’t true either.
What do you mean community contributions were squashed? Like what?
I mean yes, streaming is a form of entertainment so ya. How does money work then?
Explain
The funny thing is I am willing to bet WoW Esports are a loss from a business standpoint.
Oh boy one of these ok then. Good luck with this lol.
One of the weirdest things I have ever read on these forums quite honestly.
Like i said most people are extremely uncreative and they just wait to see what someone else does that looks succesful and then completely copy it themselves.
Every wow pvp streamer usually creates their own “tier list” at the same time they all drop nearly identical opinions on topics at the same time.
Games companies all wait to see what type of game is the next “big hit” and then all carbon copy it themselves at the same time.
Movie companies are just milking nearly 100 year old classics 20 times over for all their worth at the same time.
What do media or writing or news companies do? Well they either take turns right after another either saying that someone or something is the 2nd coming of christ or just printing out hit piece after hit piece one after the other if its something they don’t like with their own minute spin on it to say its not plagierism but in reality it basically says the same exact thing as each other.
And then when you finally get to see what people in modern day are actually capable of thinking up and creating its just… cringe for lack of a better word.
Soo true, like when the days new buzzword topic in the media, there are videos of them going to a dozen news channels showing each news anchor say the same buzzword. Almost like BOTs reading from a script. If Social media can get young people to do dangerous challenges, I can see why George Carlin was right when he said “its all BS folks, and its bad for ya” lol.
I feel bad for them, Imagine being stuck playing the same game every stinking day, over time you would grow to hate it especially since they dont have a choice… Like the Fangs in classic wow, they are there because Blizzard told them to lol. No matter if you have a headache, not in the mood, does not matter, every stinking day staring into a monitor pretending to be happy on stream… Starting to believe streamers are mentally tortured folks, ever being dangled that carrot of making it big.
Truth is streamers will eventually age out, like anything based on looks, save and invest, gets some edjamacation and schoolin lol.
As a “streamer” in the end you don’t want to be watched because you play a game well. You should want to be watched because of who you are because your either funny or you have in depth opinions on things that people want to hear or whatever it is like asmongold.
The problem is a lot of these streamers don’t have anything at all in the way of personality they may as well be a slab of concrete in that regard so the onl thing they have is being able to play the game well.
The problem with that is you have no room for growth in your “career” so to speak you are hardstuck on 1 game cause thats the only reason your audience watches you where as if you had the traits i mentioned above they would watch you no matter what you chose to do or play.
Like in law enforcement there are many pathways to branch off to you could either go be a lawyer if you really wanted to or go to state law enforcement (state trooper) or go be federal law enforcement (fbi) There are a lot of things to do so you never feel trapped.
I don’t know how credible this website tracking is but if it is. You could sign me up to be a boring 1 trick streamer who sits in his house all day for 50k a year on subs alone that averages less than 1k viewers a stream. Who knows what sponsors or other passive incomes he has.
Mhm idk I guess for some people that works. Also how much you make as a streamer is purely up in the air as subs are rng essentially and can be cancelled at any time.
I am a adventurous person so sitting in a house all day and playing unbalanced PvP in the same game day after day after day for years being unable to differentiate the days from one another I couldn’t do it.
The good side is like any work from home job you could be closer to family so I’ll give it that plus.
And like beedie said if you immerse yourself in anything not just a game just 9 hours a day and it’s all you ever think about or do eventually you’ll get so sick of it you can barely stand to think about it.
To stave off that feeling of “oh boy here we go again same thing as yesterday” you could get a job where brand new things you’ve never had happen before happen
So those are the only 2 options? What is the difference between that and slavery?
Also in a system like that it sounds like “either be a manipulative and controlling and selfish prick or don’t succeed”. Which what kind of system is that.
I guess the difference is now you are at least allowed the potential to succeed even if it’s a incredibly slim one and shrinking by the quarter in 2025 instead of being born into your position for life like in the old days.
You would have hoped human thinking had evolved much more than that by now but apparently not.
I mean I guess despite the fact that everyone got sold a lie this country is still ironically better than any of the other options.
China? Dictatorship that brainwashes its public with propaganda and kills people who don’t agree
Russia? i mean just call it another dictatorship m8 that guy has been president for the 21 years i’ve been alive. that just kills its political opponents and passes it off as “natural causes of poisoning” lmao.
North Korea? Another dictatorship that brainwashed its public and disappears people.
Uk? The police as we speak have the right to go arrest you and put you on jail time for even mild online speech. Also insane inflation working crazy hours.
Australia? Miserable weather also with wealth inequality that would blow the mind also working crazy hours.
So with all of that said America despite all its flaws is still the best option if for nothing else then the constitution and bill of rights at least giving everyone some kind of shield.
Like wow when you really stop to think about all the places that are actually half decent to live in and how few they are like Japan Taiwan u.s some places in South America or South Africa and the rest are just full blown dictatorships is crazy.
There’s a lot more developed nations than the ones you listed. The US is most definitely not on top in terms of quality of life. We actually have it pretty bad here.
We are one of the only developed nations without universal healthcare, for example. We have almost no worker protections compared to most developed nations. Americans work more hours in a year, with less relative pay, and far less vacation time. There’s states where your employer doesn’t even have to give you paid breaks or a lunch break!
Plus you can get fired at any time!
As Americans, we have been conditioned that we have it so much better than everywhere else when that’s objectively not true.
Before we start worrying about “universal healthcare” first thing is first we need to
Actually start producing people who want to and are smart enough to be doctors and
Fix the general culture of bad health habits in the u.s doctors right now are kind of just battling uphill against a culture that is doing unmitigated aoe damage.
Pretty much no matter what you do as a job you are set on a path to bad health if you work in a office you’ll probably end up having obesity problems if you work a physically intensive job you’ll probably end up having muscle cramps chronic back pain or pain else where.
And that’s before you even factor in the average American diet which does crazy damage and it’s wild how nobody talks about it.
The universal truth about health and healthcare in general is that they will not and can not develop this “magic drug” that everyone is waiting for that will magically absolve you of and allow you to continue over indulging on habits that you know full well will cause problems later.
I wish more doctors just said the truth which is that at least 60-70% of all things they contend with not all cause some are just out of a persons control but a lot are within a persons control and there should be some level of acknowledgment that self responsibility and self accountability play a huge role in a doctor patient relationship.
I like to refer to doctors as just a defensive cooldown for the country’s bad habits.
Yep it’s pretty similar in Australia or in many places in the uk to.
