Well what else do you expect them, or any game company, to do except for banning players?
You can’t stop someone from just buying a new copy of the game and trying again unless you go the route of making people send in their birth certificates or something.

Banned accounts do not generate money.
What if a player caught cheating were to incur an accountwide, and cumulative if need be, debit of conquest. A repeat offender could find their account in a conquest hole they have to earn their way out of.
If the player ops to, they could fire up another account. However, the previous account would still carry the conquest debt. The player would be faced with either abandoning the account, or facing the music and working themselves out eventually. If an account is left fallow, the conquest debt would be carried over to the next season.
A list of penalties would be drawn up and broadcast to the playerbase a month before implementation, giving them a reasonable period to set their affairs in order.

That would be way worse of a penalty than banning. The point of banning is both to discourage cheating, and to prevent cheaters from playing.

If they cared about esports they would just throw some random toy on the ingame shop for money and put it as 90% goes to esports prize pools.

Integrity and prestige don’t exist in wow PVP because anything you want is for sale(just like PVE). YOU can EARN what you have and be proud of yourself, but most humans on earth have no way to know if you earned it or bought it, and even less interest than you could imagine in what you earned or if you bought it. Sellers sold the prestige and now their is none for the buyers and non-buyers. Welcome to capitalist games.

The websites selling through RMT, access to the content through carries and certain achievements, items, rating ect, are not allowed by Blizzard or the wow Terms of service. RMT isn’t free market trade, it just devalues everything it’s selling. In Dragonflight I found out that boosting services would gladly let you pay them to tag along in a heroic raid and guaranteed that they would bring you with them until they handed you a herioc axe quest, for $1800 U.S.D. Ridiculous, but pvp rating is far cheaper.

WoW has rampant botting in all of its game modes, nothing going to happen, they probably make the game numbers look good since technically BOTs are player accounts.
WoW has NO integrity anymore, its open season for all of the exploiters… Good time to take a wow break imho. I think all of AAA game companies are crashing hard, just like Hollywood. Just pumping out trash games and acting surprised when no one buys it lol.

The Move announcing they’re on a break except for wizk is no shock either.
Comp is chalked and there’s no new blood entering the scene.

E-sports is pre-designated, choreographed and predeveloped to provide a ‘talent’ and ‘showman’ concept and experience.
You may note that specific streams of WoW’s arena have people like Ziqo and Venruki saying ‘Oh look, I guess I’m playing’ or ‘We don’t have any idea what this game is man we’re just here’…

The streamers aren’t real, the ‘talent’ isn’t real, and the fights are what they end up being. Most people notice the numbers and/or talents don’t even meet active content/standards.
It’s why the ‘Arena Tournament’ ‘redactedaltenrativeloginplace’ existed for people to actually play arena above 2200. It’s also why people mass win-traded for transmog and extra gear in Season 1 of Mists of Pandaria through RPG’s because they could finally ‘get it’ without being ‘one of those guys’ - Even though it was bannable, and mass bans occurred with achievement removal because of the exploit.
How do y’all not notice the content, charisma and jokes meet standards of internet/comedy culture of 2010-2015? The War Within was created during that era. This game does not take very long to create-for.

Youtube you see the AI video edits of the wow zones and related content, its AMAZING looking! Look at the graphics of Monster Hunter. The open world of games like Cyberpunk, the epic battles in the background of Space Marine 2 is just out of this world amazing.
Yet wow is still stuck in the early 2000s, Complexity of gameplay vs complexity of needing a dozen addons and filling your monitor with enough flashy crap to cause headaches lol.
You dont need a Classic version of the Warlords WoD expansion again, were getting it now but instead of garrisons its “playerrrrr housing”. Anyone who remembers that expansion it was a long content drought, with a BIG patch that was just a selfie camera, followed by another year of NO fun new content.
AAA games Dragonage, Avowed, S.Squad justice league, Bethesda games, Assassins creed, even Helldivers2 have game Developers who openly state they despise the players of their games. And at the same time they want to push political agendas, all about ““THA MESSAGE”” lol. Gamers are voting w their wallets, refusing to pay top dollar for low quality.
Seeing it in WoW today, players soo loyal to the game they log in just to sit afk tabbed out waiting on queues. They literally pay to NOT play the game lol. Blizzard should do more to make you guys happy for sure, since you are the life support keeping wow alive.
Other Blizz titles? CoD is in the dumps, youtubers complain of rampant open cheating in game. Warcraft3, hey we bought it just for the WoW mount and never downloaded the actual game lol. Avowed was like having one porta john at a concert in the summer heat lol. PoE2 was the end of Diablo4, Marvel took the entire player base from overwatch. Heros of the storm never stood a change against Riot LoL.
anyway time for a WoW vacation until Blizzard gets their heads out of their four points of contact lol.
