Its pretty clear on re-reading i misread what you said and misrepresented your arguement! sorry!

This is something to consider, because im sure it does take resources not only to put things in and adjust, but also to excise features. givin this will be running on the currect tbcc code, i think all that extra work for excising rdf was already done tho. and theres also the problem of people who dont like rdf’s complusory position upending the games current state which a number of people see as a good thing and blizz definitely acknowledges as worthy of keeping.

Because of it’s lack of queus it’s classic is like an experience not really found anymore outside of like GW2 which is VERY DIFFERENT in many more fundamental ways, and a significant group of us want to retain that. What blizzard called the “spirit of classic”

Would you be okay with an rdf that gave you bis and badges at a rate the exact same as a traditional group? Not like the same amount of gear and badges… but that someone who spammed RDF and someone who did a mix of creating groups and joining them could gear around + or - 5% margin of error in their /played from fresh 80 to prebis with a stock of badges.

Would this be something you would still want to do? It would probably involve a badge cap, maybe personal loot, maybe 1 peice of gear per heroic per day, idk. would you still support an actual choice?

what if we had rdf for leveling content and then a fully functional crossrealm lfg tool (not automated) for heroics and could also be used for pvp. This way the player agency is still there, there’s still a chance to limit ur party to ur server etc. But then there’s better leveling and the option for low pop servers. This is also a system also widely accepted on retail service.

I think you’ll find that behind the scenes Blizzard is severely hemorrhaging talent. Not just the high profile names like Jeff Kaplan, but an exodus of lesser-known artists, developers, engineers, and admins. The Blizzard brand is pretty tainted at this point; quite a lot of people would be thinking twice about accepting work at the cubicle-crawl company. Looking at their last few steaming “offerings” (Warcraft 3 reforged, Diablo immortal) and seeming inability to fix critical bugs with the wow client should speak volumes to you.

Expecting them to do any original (let alone worthwhile) work on classic is a pipe dream.

While i agree with this, whats the point here? why even type this? the problem with interjecting nihilism is that youre literally just killing the vibe for no reason at all. People like having pipe dreams sometimes and youre doing noone a service coming in and telling them things they already know. so whats the point of being here?

Honestly. I have zero expectations from anything they do. It’s been a long time since they’ve had anything resembling a success from a players point of view.

Probably to encourage blizzard to focus on the things they can actually address, like maybe not still having TBC resist code active in the wrath beta client 2 months out from launch, or maybe fixing a mind control bug that completely gimps a class and which has existed in their client for about 6 years.

soo good on you for realizing its in the tos! but i dont think this would apply, its pretty tangential, it was just an honest suggestion from me since people pounce on nihilism and it completely derails a thread 9 times out of ten. I can suggest something without it being a threat, and i usually only bring up the TOS (like with you) when people are actively abusing forums posts.

I have no idea who’s come before me in this forums. Unfortunately for you, when you do things against the tos you get reported, which is the way the forum is intended to work, it isnt a schtik, also youve deleted some of it so in fact i probably did you a favor because when blizzard looks at the reports they’ll see you walked it back begrudgingly which im sure accounts for something, and you might not lose game time when you take a vacation from the forums.
