There need to be counters to any and all specs. What counters a Shaman tank?
that would be up for debate though i say they are op currently vs melee and its not even a contest with them.
ranged that can start and keep range though , can wittle them down and not throwing melee attacks which then get blocked and further make the shaman even tougher âŚ
welll magic damage helps alot as they only have a 10% dr on that but the 30% hp helps alot though they have very little actual range as the lb/cl/lvb are all only 10 yards and their es is only melee range.
Think its situational depending on the spec. One of my buddies was telling me that hes almost at 30k hp on his druid tank in PvP gear with his cds upâŚso if you wonder why it takes so long to kill druids in bgsâŚ

AT this point weâre left with some abomination of PvP. They should have left it the 1 shot burst meta. The slow move towards retail pvp has left some classes very powerful and fun to play knowing they can survive and deal damage. It has left others wanting more knowing they die in 2 seconds but canât kill others. Also with the increased amount of CC, itâs easy to get caught and just die in seconds, especially if youâre a class with no tank runes.
Blizzâs first mistake was moving in the direction of self healing and hardcore damage reduction tank runes that work in pvp. No one asked for retail pvp in classic even if we have retail esk damage abilities. I DESPISE retail pvp for the fact itâs just a million micro stuns and everyone has tons of self healing. Itâs what this game has slowly become, no one wants that.
ya know, given the sheer amount of time everyone sits in pvp limbo being cced its an affront to everyone else if you actually survive it and live to come back and kill the person.
though i have to hard agree that not being able to output enough damage to âkill the unkillableâ is annoying a heck weather it is a healer that just heals forever and you cant interrupt it enough and if 1 heal gets off they are back to full and you are back to wittling away their health for another year or it is an ultra tanky anything who also can double as an (albeit crappy) dps enough to kill you well before you can even hope to kill them.
its stupid for people to live that long for alot of people especially when its not a universal thing and only some classes get to qualify for the invunerability serum and others just die if you look at them funny.
its not a world where it is as fun to play or even close for everyone.
i dont know the solution other than somehow making it so those classes that live too long and do enough damage to kill you well before you can kill them to have their dps in pvp only (hopefully) get gutted to where its not viable anymore and we get rid of the annoyance altogether.
maybe they can do it in at least bgs where the rune just isnt active or some form of blanket nerf on all âtankâ forms and runes to also reduce damage by a set amount.
to further go into this though , with tank shaman in particular they might also have to nerf the proc on the zg set to not work in pvp combat as well.
either way its not gonna feel good with it happening but at least we can rip the bandaid off now and try and keep it to only affect the pvp part.

PvP is fine. Just play some BGâs have some fun then log off and do something else with your limited time on earth.
Which almost nobody enjoys whether playing or watching. Figured Blizzard would take a hint when Retail PvP has been virtually dead for how long that most people donât want the ridiculous self-sustain/micro CC nonsense where artificial dampening is required just for matches to resolve.

Start with normalizing Defense to 300 in pvp.
I am all in to nerf shockadins and shaman tank sets in pvp
basically nerfing the only competitive paladin spec and nerfing 2 shaman specs, hmm shamans still more competitve even with those nerfs.
No thanks, as a tank I would like to be able to pvp effectively as well as it is a large portion of the game. Not going to be forced to play the game by your rules.
