I received gold from someone I did not know and escalated this to Customer Support. They did not give me an official action on what to do, but rather, what the agent would do personally.
Nothing can be done here as there are no GMs on this forum. You will have to appeal. There are instructions in the e-mail you were sent in regards to the suspension.
Mind you, an appeal is not a place for you to plead your case, only for a fresh set of eyes to look at the data.
Instructions in the email state that it cannot be appealed.
I re-opened my original ticket. If this doesn’t get resolved appropriately (and the GM I dealt with does not give me confidence that it will be), this is what I would view as a subscription-breaker.
Generally, account action can be appealed until such point as Blizzard says no more appeals. Point of note, an appeal simply gets another set of eyes to go over the log evidence and is not a way of pleading your case.
Threatening to quit WoW won’t sway anything either.
That the e-mail says no appeals will be heard is odd, as pretty much any kind of sanction allows you the right to appeal.
Especially since you tried to remedy the issue before the sanction came down, I would still submit a ticket to see what they say. Link the number to the one above to lay the groundwork, and explain from there. Leave out the threats and hyperbole, they don’t get you anywhere and just muddies things.
Unless it’s for something completely unrelated to what the OP is stating - as it does sound somewhat like convenient excuse. I’d wager that there is a lot more to this than what we have been told, but that’s between the OP and Blizzard.
This is neither the time nor place for comments like this. OP is seeking help, and this is CS, not general. We look for constructive comments here.
If you feel someone buying gold would act like this, that’s great. It has no bearing whatsoever on OP or their situation, so there’s no need to share that kind of “insight” here. Let the process work itself out without the jabs.
Completely fair. I would still risk filing a ticket if it were me, just in case. That they’re told no appeals before an appeal was even filed throws me off.
I left it in my mailbox for a couple of days and put the sender on my friends list but he never came on. Since it was my AH toon, I wasn’t going to let it hold my mailbox hostage as I have auction items to process and I like to use “open all” so I eventually collected the gold.
And then the suspension came down.
My issue with this whole scenario is that the Blizzard representative did not give any official action that I should take. Rather, he said what he would personally would do since it would “look bad” if I took it.
Nothing will come from posting in the CS forum. If you’re still able to appeal it, then it’s best to do such. Nothing will come from posting in here as the blues don’t handle appeals or speak on the matter as it isn’t their job to do such.
I agree. I do like that the gms cover each other’s bases though. I didn’t know that. I really do hope the OP is able to get some help with this though. Best of luck to you!
