I suppose what I said is much easier said than done, but id put in a ticket or call them, explain the situation IN DETAIL, and maybe they could see that the accounts are associated and take action from there. Sorry sucks to have that situation.
You would think it would. She has never once responded to any of the messages, yet this person has some serious stamina in continuing to talk to someone who will not respond. She has absolutely no idea where she even interacted with this person. They have used many different stories on why they hate her so much. Last year they claimed she was killing them over and over in warmode, when she doesnt pvp very often at all. Lately they have claimed she stole their man. Itās all over the place.
Then there is a lot more to the story going on than what you are telling us.
I live in Austin, Iāve met Blizzard GMās, even had one in a D&D group for a bit. Iāve asked them about this because it was a touchy subject for me back when I actually did progression raiding. Harassment like this is one of the few things that will very very rapidly escalate to a full and permanent account closure.
Either your friend is not reporting it through the proper systems, they are encouraging the contact, or it is not happening and theyāre trying to stir up drama for internet points.
Now, giving your friend the benefit of the doubt Iām going to go with they are simply not reporting it properly. Especially since you mention that they have changed their character name which is a useless endeavor within World of Warcraft since anyone can put you on their friends list in-game with a note, and a character name change will update.
Itās one of the ways we used to track good and bad players back before LFG existed for running daily dungeons.

How do they report it properly then so we can relay this information? All we have ever been told is to just open a ticket and put that toon on ignore, rinse and repeat by multiple GMs. I am genuinely asking cause any info would be helpful and we are willing to try it.
There are MANY screenshots of the messages that have been forwarded to GMs. This is far from fabricated.

and as weāve been saying, blocking toons who are sending mail isnāt working towards her goal.
she needs to re-open an existing ticket on the subject, and add in the new information with each contact which is made.
i donāt know who āweā is.

Not hersā¦ the other person.
She has reported every single mail through the report feature in the mail, she has put in tickets with screenshots, she has ignored every new toon this person is making. What more is she supposed to be doing that is not being done? She is trying everything and nothing seems to be working properly.
I already told you above. Blizzard wonāt tell you the actions they take, but if there is genuine harassment going on, they smash that with the banhammer as soon as they can verify it.

GMs donāt need screenshots, nor will they accept them as any sort of āevidenceā.
they have access to chat logs.
lookā¦ i know people love playing the victim, but this is about the third thread by the same group of people in as many days.
if youāre not going to listen to the players, go post over in CS so it can be explained in blue.

I want to make it clear we are not here to start any kind of internet beef. I made this post because i genuinely want to help our friend and anyone else that is having this problem. Any information is welcome and helpful but we have taken every step we have been told to take by GMs when tickets are answered.
That sucks. I wonder if there are any addons that can filter in-game mail from level 1 characters and just auto-deletes them so she doesnāt even have to open the messageā¦

She had had the same ticket open and added to it many times. They tell her they are escalating it each time. How many times does something get escalated over the course of a year before something can be done? That is what she is trying to figure out. We is her guild and friends who have tried helping her through this since her dealing with this alone is not good for anyone psyche. She is jumping through all the hoops and feeling like nothing is being done. This is literally a case of her setting someone off but not remembering how or why, and the person going to extraordinary lengths to harass her simply because nothing is stopping them. There really is no more to the story. Ppl can be set off by seemingly mundane interactions and it cause them to stalk others. It does happen.
Repeated harrasment should/is meant to be a bannable offense. Why has he not been banned yet???

People are acting like OP hasnāt reported this.
Yaāll have obviously never dealt with something like this before; people are insane and will go to extreme lengths to shut people down.
Iāve had something similar happen (a minor case in game, and an extreme case in another community), and Blizzardā complete lack of closure for victims in this game - they have it in their other ones - is beyond ridiculous.
As a victim of excessive harassment myself, knowing that at least the guyās repeated accounts are at least getting āactions taken against themā would at least make dealing with it better.
And OP,
GD is not the place you want to come for this. Itās full of people who do nothing but blame victims and act holier than thou because their skins are so thick they lost empathy.
Thereās a chance these newer accounts are being banned, but heās just making new ones. IP bans donāt work.
If itās as bad as OP is saying, honestly, it might be viable for Police investigation. Itās extremely illegal to promote somebody to suicide in most of the US from what I know, very illegal in my country, and illegal in many others.
Just seeing if theyāll take it serious is the issue.

Ignore blocks the entire account. If I block your character Dibble, then you can get on your alt Dribble, try to communicate with me and see that youāre being ignored.
Not for mail though
