In-Game Combat Log Range Decreased

This is an interesting change. I can see disadvantages and advantages to this. It does get around some of the dodgy elements of the combat log.

I think addon creators should experiment for what this could mean. If you pick up the source of a combat log entry, then that means they are definitely within 50 yds. This can be informative if indicators are added to the GUI of alert addons. There are several ways to detect an enemy, but knowing if an enemy is within or approaching attack range is extremely valuable information. It’s not “There’s a 100 Horde around” valuable, but it’s definitely useful.

Thank you Blizzard for reacting quickly on this problem. I have tested out Spy in game now and it is now in line and not game breaking. This mod after the change does not give players godlike senses and reflexes to players they can’t even see within their view distance. The mod doesn’t even notice the player in the area till I actually notice them first. Thank you very much!

I propose the following until the H/A ratio is 60/40 minimum: Constant faction locked free transfers off the realm. lock character creation for horde. faction based queue.

So, in other words, punish the Horde players by making them queue, prevent them from making alts or bringing new friends in because the Alliance players are cutting and running? This smacks of affirmative action, it’s not a solution by any means. You’re just shifting the disenfranchisement from one side to the other.

bad pointless change.

lol sounds like you crying just as much

Hey boys, this did affect our raid logs and details!

Looks like 4 DPS were in range during our Rag kill.

how about just screw mods/addons in general and just play the game as released. or are people too reliant on their cruches to even consider that

I have noticed this aswell. Threat addons are going to take a big hit.

New raid strats will have to involve standing within 50 yards of the tank at all times.

Well that’s good news to hear. i think… I don’t pvp…

The Combat logs before would pick those actions up even after the person i had targeted, disappeared within range.

The game was released to be played with addons

Rogues Before Spy Nerf: Come on guys, Spy lets people know my name before I stun lock them into death…
Rogues After Spy Nerf: YaY, now people don’t know my name until I stun lock them into death…
Blizzard: You’re welcome, we can mask anything under the "This brings it closer in to line with 1.12. Especially since none of you have any of the actual data to compare the constant stream of BS we feed you about it.

This is so cringe. Can I cry about the fact that Rogue PvP trinkets remove fear and Warlock pvp trinkets don’t remove stun?
Will that get you to change that too you spineless mooks?

“Game not breaking”… lul. What a child.

You’re right, they still can stunlock into death without issue. Now you just don’t know who’s killing you before they kill you. QQ GG

still relevant after 15 years lol https://youtu.be/qL--teiBbzQ?t=51

Its a start, the addon Automates the players actions of looking around for enemy units, this should be against the TOS of game play. The player is responsible to know whats around him, they should not be allowed to used a 50yd Automated RADAR that pops up my icon to be targeted from anywhere around them!

This removes the ability to Hide! Try hiding under a bridege waiting for Horde to cross… NOPE SPY pops up they target you and run under the bridge.

This addon is pure cancer!

This add on removes all in game individualism, a Warlock farming under the sea using under water breathing spell should not fear for there life as nobody is diving into the sea just to see if players are at the bottom.

But with SPY no need, it scans the area pops up and now that Warlock is targeted under the sea! This add on automates the entire process and should be crippled!

This addon, and addons with the same functionality, existed in Vanilla.

If you didn’t use them, it’s because you weren’t smart enough to use them.

Limiting the radar is more than enough of a nerf to bring it in line with original behaviors.

This add on Automates players actions. I do not remember having this add on in vanilla I do not believe it was around.
