Since you disagree and have made an appeal continue until they tell you to stop.
You cannot bypass the queue over the forums or receive special treatment, as others who got banned as well are appealing through the same queue as you are.
This is not a contact point for appeals, it is mainly a help desk where players like myself can help you navigate the help and account management systems. Since you already have a ticket number, all that can be done is to wish you well on your appeal.
Your option is to put in an appeal. If you have, then you wait. You can continue to put in appeals until they say no more and then that is that.
I want to ask how you gather a lot while often being alt tabbed. But, really, that is not important. Appeal is the answer to your question.
Good luck!
Edit: Ohh and in the future, you may want to consider keeping work and play separate: as in two seperate boxes. Keeps things clean that way. You can keep 'em next to each other, but use diff keyboards/mouse etc. Just a thought…
I have 2 accounts so I alt tab between them, or to my browser, or to Spotify to change music. Just various things while playing. Obviously not tabbed out and farming simultaneously
Having and running 2 accounts is not against ToS from my understanding. However multiboxing / using a program to control 2 or more toons at once is against ToS. I’ve never multiboxed or anything of that nature.
Also my 2nd account isn’t banned so I dont think its related to my PC.
Likely I got mass reported or something I suppose.
Also, the last time I was falsely banned blizzard told me in their reply that it was a flaw in their auto ban service, so I don’t trust that a bunch of people reporting an account will do nothing.
The real bots don’t enjoy if you kill them a bunch while farming kekw
This is Specialist Game Master Nestold, and I hope you’re doing well! I wanted to first apologize for the delay in getting back to you on this. I understand you’ve been waiting a while for an answer and just wanted to let you know that we’re working to get to everyone as quickly as we can. We really appreciate your patience.
I checked into this, and it looks like this happened due to a bug, which has since been fixed. Apologies for any inconvenience or upset it may have caused. I do see it looks like we already caught the error and lifted the ban, so it should not happen again.
If your account ever is penalized for any reason, you are always welcome to submit an appeal, and a GM will review it thoroughly. As for illicit gold, never take gold from players you don’t know or trust. You can always send the mail back, as you discovered! And then please report the player, and place that player on ignore.
Take care, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Regards,
Game Master Nestold

It can result in a squelch until a GM looks at it. 99.999% of the people claiming they did nothing wrong and were just mass reported find out there were almost no reports, and that the account action came from only a few - backed by chat logs showing infractions. If chat logs don’t show infractions, nothing happens when someone reports you.
Example from the other day.
A false positive? Yes, those can happen. They do have software that they program to detect known botting software and exploits. It is rare, but there can be mistakes in that. I would not call that an auto ban though really. It is very very intentionally programmed to catch known cheating methods. They verify that the account was flagged before banning it. Now, if the detection criteria was wrong - that causes a false positive. They reverse it and apologize.
Chat bans and cheating bans are two different teams and processes though.
EDIT so the GM email does not say anything about an “auto ban service”. Please don’t make things up.
So they admit it was a bug that has since been fixed. Nowhere does it say “auto ban service” only that they lifted the ban and that you’re welcome to submit an appeal should you feel it was in error like we told you to.
Please remain polite and calm in queue while they review your case.
I understand this. I also don’t curse at anyone or anything like that. I am generally very helpful towards others, unless they are horde in my way, but hey thats what PvP servers are for, right?
It is a “thing”, in that some groups think it works and they’ve convinced the general public that it’s the reason for a suspension.
Mass reporting being the reason for suspensions is not a thing. Every suspension is applied by a GM after reviewing the situation. The most a group of people can do is get an account temporarily squelched until a GM reviews it.
No, they didn’t. There may have been a flaw in the data they used for the suspension (more specific, a flaw in how they interpreted the data), but that’s it.
Doesn’t matter what you trust. The facts are what they are, and they do not depend on you “trusting” them.
Sure, but do you really think bots are reporting people? Why would an account blatantly breaking the rules do something that will draw Blizzard’s attention to what they are doing?
As we all suspected, there is nothing in this response about an “auto-ban service”. You are putting your own spin on it to fit your pre-conceived narrative.
Stop it. Put in your appeal and wait for a response.
I was banned the last time after someone I kicked from my raid team bought and sent my account gold. I didn’t even open the mail, i hit return, then I was banned the next day. I even put in a ticket to blizzard before I was banned alerting them of the situation in hopes of not getting banned. If that isn’t an auto ban then idk what is man. I raid in the top guild in sod , i put HOURS into my toon. I am not here just to make stuff up.
No it’s not. If a bunch of people report report you ingame, you are gonna get squelched, and that’s for chat violations. There is no automated ban or suspension, if there was there would be a lot more tears and gnashing of teeth on the forums.
Now I know you are making it up, Blizzard never said that.
