This is partially true , however inside those threads are solutions.
Yes, I’ve already explained that. Have you read the thread? You might want to.
There most glaring problem with the Public Crafting Orders is that they do not allow you to set a minimum quality, so it can just be filled by anyone. Makes no difference if you specialize in that particular order and can make it max rank. There’s no incentive to use it which is why the Trade chat is inundated with people looking to craft something at a particular rank.
Would you like me to link my post in another thread explaining what the end result would be if you could? Because it’s not pretty.
Allowing to specify rank would not help. Everyone would always just pick R5.
Firstly, you can’t guarantee R5 without inspiration. Secondly, what makes you think we wouldn’t be in the same boat as crafters, just trying to snipe crafting orders as they happened once you broke the threshhold?
The whole CO system was a mistake to be honest.
Please, elaborate.
maybe nobody can afford the prices?
Lets play devils advocate. Lets say you are right. People don’t understand how the system works. Then that is a failure on the Devs. People will still quit if they don’t understand the system.
So people will Quit because the system is bad or Quit because they don’t understand it.
Either way people will Quit and this is a problem. Can you understand that!
Here ya go.
I don’t expect you to have. That’s the whole point. While I’m ok with not being maxed right now, tying leveling to craft orders that don’t exist is a terrible system holding people back.
And we can see from other players feedback that they are also being affected. Not just me.
How did you even get it that high? I’m at 63 and can’t level it higher because everything with a skill up requires a spark.
No, after 18 years I’m fully prepared to categorically state that a major problem of WoW is how phenomenally dumb many of its players are.
Profession equipment doesn’t require sparks.
(EDIT: Gnoll Tents are also a godsend.)
I still have yet to see a single crafting order in Engineering. Granted, I don’t look very often, but I’ve accepted the fact I will never complete the quest for doing 2 crafting orders.
The problem is that the threads are from people who don’t understand how the system works.
Well…
I tell my clients, when they want to change their company culture or implement new tech in an existing product line:
- Change is hard
- Change is really hard
- Change is really, really hard
Usually it takes them 6 to 12 months to get it.
I had read about the changes a bit. When I leveled up to 50 it was pretty much samo samo compared to prior expansions. Then it was… hmmm… this is different. Gonna have to change up how this is gonna be done now.
I’m still processing how all this comes together myself. I think there is a lot of potential here. Adoption is going to be hindered because (I think - my opinion) people have been conditioned to treat this as a solo alt army thing for years now. Folks are fixated on the I wanna get to max in a few days and just put stuff on the AH mindset since forever.
I’m reminded by an old dev interview/article from WoTLK/Cata where Blizzard originally thought the gather/crafter mix would be 5/1 or 10/1. They were astounded at how many people chose crafting, because they wanted to make stuff for themselves or alts.
As I’ve gone through DL I’ve thought about how that kind of a balance makes way more sense for an expansion like DL. Running Double/Gather, getting gear for my chars is far easier just asking for someone to do it. I’m so glad I haven’t bother with BS, LW or anything other than Alchemy for years now.
Sidenote: Engineering is an outlier, I just don’t want to drop it on my Shammy and I get it to max each expansion just to be a completionist.
Edit: Spacing, grammar.
How did you even get it that high? I’m at 63 and can’t level it higher because everything with a skill up requires a spark.
What are you speccing into that you want it to go higher? What is your end goal with a maxxed LW?
Nah, that’s already happening now in Trade Chat.
You kick it with a comment either saying the requested quality is too high or craft it, resubmit it personally for a free recraft and the chance of the inspiration proc.
It’s how I did it with one of my Lariats and saved a ton of gold on mats. Most people don’t understand this though.
Profession equipment doesn’t require sparks.
(EDIT: Gnoll Tents are also a godsend.)
Profession equipment doesn’t give me skill ups anymore.
And I have the recipe for gnoll tents but uh… it costs 10k gold’s worth of mats to craft and they sell for 470 gold on the AH.
Profession equipment doesn’t give me skill ups anymore.
The blue ones from renown go to 100.
The green ones from the trainer don’t last very long.
Profession equipment doesn’t give me skill ups anymore.
At base skill 94, profession equipment STILL gives me skillups.
I’m not talking about the green quality crap, I’m talking about the good stuff.
