That isn’t how DF is designed. I do agree with you on some level. It wasn’t clear from the outset that this is how it was going to work.
But you are trying to go against the flow here and then wondering why you are failing.

there’s two more years of DF. you get 3 points per month from Darkmoon Faire. that is nearly double what you need to max from where blue recipes drop you off.
everyone who wants to max in DF, will max in DF.
Clearly, you haven’t played FF14.
But more to the point of WoW: If I can’t craft gear high enough to be worth the effort, then crafting has no purpose for me.
If crafting has no purpose for me, then it’s not a system I shall engage with.
If it’s not a system I engage with, then it’s a bad system.
Now it’s clearly good for the people who DO those +16 or Mythic raids, but that’s by far a very very slim minority of players.
So, it’s not made for the average player who is interested in crafting. So if it’s quickly proving to be a system that most players choose to not interact with, that’s a very clear problem.
I guess that’s why I’ve never seen a crafting order. This system is for the 1% only.
This is just wrong. You are wrong. If the Dev intend for most of the player base to never reach 100 in their profession then they are also WRONG!
Guess I’ll just let my sub run out then. Not sure what you want me or other players to do? This feels bad and makes you want to stop playing.
if and only if you’re God.
p.s. I don’t engage with Arenas.
Delete them.
Deus Vult.
You can generate your own crafting orders.
i got to 100 herb/100alch zero orders filed.
are other professions requiring orders?
blacksmithing if you didn’t pick master’s hammer kinda does… because you’re in spark-only recipes past 70ish. I don’t know how high the purple alloy can level you, but i doubt it’s to 100.
maybe its because my servers small, but most CO’s are done in /g where putting up a public order. “youre results may vary”
Now it’s clearly good for the people who DO those +16 or Mythic raids,
It’s so weird that you chose not to include that bit.
It’s almost like you were cherry picking to make a sarcastic little jab at me. Oh well.
Once I realized that because I had to work week 1, that I would just be indefinitely behind on crafting professions and unable to fill orders, I abandoned all professions. System had potential, terrible execution.

Ok. Keep telling yourself that. Then keep wondering why you fail for the entire xpac.

Bye Felicia?
Again what did you try to spec into? We are trying to help you here.
I mean if you truly wanted to “max your profession” above all else, you could just go wide on what you can craft so you can fulfill the max amount of work orders when they do pop up. However, then you would just be terrible at everything. Maxxed profession incapable of ever making an R5 of anything until you collect a massive amount of extra knowledge points.
So again… in DF your goal shouldn’t be to cap your profession above all else. It is highly dependent on what you are trying to do. The more you fight this, the more you fail.
It’s almost like you were cherry picking to make a sarcastic little jab at me. Oh well.
that is where your cause-effect flow broke down.
i pointed out the breaking point, so you can go back and fix it.
as a courtesy, i will now look at the other area that you wanted me to look at.
but i don’t do M+16 and my guild only killed one mythic boss. once. so I cant comment.

m+16 much easier than mythic raiding. should give it a shot
especially now that they nerfed everything it’s a breeze even tyrannical.
*well i still hate azure vault’s timer but w/e

You can’t get past 80 JC without filling crafting orders for the last 20. I’ve been at 100 mining since launch week. Just don’t understand why crafting professions rely on this Elitist failed system.
So anyone trying to level JC today will never get past 80.
If a new players starts today they can’t choose JC. That’s for sure.
This thread isn’t about high end challenges. It’s about leveling professions.
i don’t enjoy that type of content.
I prefer being a small part of a big thing, not a big part of something small.
but i appreciate your feedback. I did it first week, to see each dungeon in M+ environment, and i feel I got what I wanted out of this season. Might do the new ones NeXT season once or twice.
i don’t hate M+ it’s just not my thing.

Exactly!!! This thread is about the very core basics of design. Something everyone should accomplish.
if everyone was meant to be 100/100, professions wouldnt have levels. you’d start out at 100.
