Lol if only people weren’t incapable of thinking critically. People react emotionally to everything these days and it never ends well.
I would LOVE to dig up my old threads but I think Blizz axed most of the old forum logs I cannot even find the old Goldposts anymore.
Do you have proof of this?
What progress is being lost? Everyone is jumping to conclusions and Blizzard hasn’t spoken on any information about TBC etc
This was a concern in 2006 when TBC was released and I think it’s normal that it still is today. Back then, Blizzard didn’t offer any stasis servers; the game just moved on.
It seems obvious to me that Blizzard will this time offer a stasis server. But you have to realize that taking screenshots of your character will have the same effect, because the server will be unplayable.
Imagine wanting to hold a majority of the population hostage to play your boomer version of the game.
Progress being deleted isn’t the end of the world, just look at anyone who plays path of exile exclusively on hardcore.
Pregressive TBC will go on as it did! If We lose anything we can not continue playing as the next step after TBC will also do the same, which makes us have no point to play TBC Just like why Do i play wow as it will reset anyway?: all the things I built up goes nothing left in the end. Why it does this? Only to be left in Classic? Maybe some would but for sure the majority will do fly over to TBC as long as it goes progressive!
No it is not the end but no purpose to keep playing as there will be nothing left in the end!
You are free to fire up a vanilla private server and import your character’s gear and stare at it. There is your classic stasis museum. The rest of us will be playing an MMORPG and enjoying fresh classic/TBC or progressive TBC. Blizzard is a company, and companies make money. Classic was designed as a money maker first and foremost. Any other reasoning is corporate PR talk.
Classic should remain its own game . I played way to much to get warlord . When i feel like playing classic again then i can come back owning.
Classic launched with no mention of an eventual TBC. So by your logic there was no reason for anyone to play it.
I’m finding it difficult to follow your logic. Yes, Blizzard is a company, and companies make money. Therefore why would they ever want players to leave and go play on private servers? An eternal Classic at least as an option is an absolute necessity.
You don’t have the best reading comprehension, do you?
Eventual TBC ? Did i mention the soly exising Vanilla severs can not stay? Maybe there could be some severs where any could keep their 60’s chac in Banilla for good AFTER frensferring as the original severs will be progressed to TBC! We did ask for Vanila then why not for classic TBC though?
you play cause you enjoy the game?
Your progress isn’t being deleted with F R E S H TBC. You still retain all your characters, pixels and gold.
Sure, if we’re arguing semantics, your progress isn’t deleted when it progresses to TBC either.
I support all the players whom opt out to transfer to a classic non progression eternal server. There is enough demand for this for at the very least 1 server.
Yes i enjoy but i do not want to lose any that has consumed my time and passion and i also want to play tbc with my cha
No static vanilla servers.
When vanilla ENDS…you can either take your character forward into TBC
Or suck it up and start over on a fresh vanilla realm in p1 again.
The only other acceptable authentic server option would be a token pristine/Fresh TBC server or two for people who want that.
Absolutely nothing else is remotely authentic to the design of the game…
and there has been zero logical justification for a permanent static server as of yet. Saying “Museum” over and over isn’t helping your case, particularly in the context that phrase was used. You people may as well be yelling “GIRAFFE”, “String theory” , or “Snuffaluffagus” for your reasoning.
You are able to continue your character p6 vanilla character… in tbc
You are able to continue playing vanilla… in a fresh classic p1 realm
Nothing that has ever been said to this point remotely implies that you are going to be able to keep your current p6 vanilla character in a permanent p6 environment. Nor does that even make sense from an authenticity standpoint, or a general game design standpoint.
