eternal servers didnt work for 15 years on private servers…they WONT work here or jsutify the cost…
the large majority of the population will elave and the server will die off, there wont be anything left to do in the game, no sense of progression KILLS mmos…thats what an mMO IS ABOUT
Continue playing my current Classic character on my existing server as it progresses to the Burning Crusade expansion, with the option to transfer to a Classic server that will never progress past level 60.

And eventually When TBC is at final phase offer the same thing to a TBC non progression server. Not everyone wants to play Wrath.
This happens all the time throughout these forums. People want you to play their way, not your way. So they make up a bunch of B.S. as to why they want it that way.
If you’re attached to these lifeless characters with no personality then you need a girlfriend. Be proud of your progress and it’s normal to want to have a record of it. But being attached? That’s problematic.

that’s unrelated, that’s totally different. They said those things about museum on this very forum. Old forum, before it moved over here. They said it’ll be a static museum.
Are you seriously saying that because they didn’t work on pservers that blizzard couldn’t make them work?? Are you seriously comparing the two? They are entirely different.

Not reading all this but I can assume a few things, 1) anyone who doubts classic will stay its own servers either is brand new to blizzard and has no idea their insatiable desire for money or is dumb. 2) classic will stay its own servers because once again blizzard wants money.

I feel this way, but I feel this way too about my SERVER. It should be the people who want the change who move, not the people who came for what we were first promised.
The people who feel this way about their server can also be the ones who want a natural progression to TBC, and we seem to be the majority.
Why do you get special treatment as the minority, especially when your servers will be all but dead due to a dwindling community being spread too thin?
what did they say in the survey? I never seem to get those.
I’m not even sure who they send surveys to. Very selective group of people apparently. No one in our guild got them.
To be fair, we never knew we might be getting BC. Some folks would expect just that.
