… asking me (and others) to imagine “the reality as it is”? There must be a hidden twist in there somewhere.

It’s like a fever dream.
Tinker as a playable class is such an organic/natural fit within the roster, narrative and theme of WoW… how is it not available?
What person(s) nixed their inclusion?? Or, how could it possibly be that no one on staff is/was passionate about the concept to bring it forth??
Who knows, maybe some day…

Tinker is basically Engineer Hunter like making such a class would be impossible without cutting from the Engineering profession and Hunter
I actually like that we don’t have tinkers… I just find the idea boring. I might feel different if they were to make them… but no interest at all in them coming to WOW.

Easy to do since it’s reality. I’ll take Evokers over Tinkers any day of the week, though.
It has been requested a long, long time ago in varies threads for this classes along with the Bard and the Necromancer.
And what do we get now? wanted a Dragon knight with a power more powerful than Malygos or Sindragrosa? NO…
Did we get Warriors blademaster with samurai suit, gigantic katanas and shadow clone ability like in Warcraft 3? NO…
we only got evoker, the stupidest class ever made, even putting an i instead of an e, it could have been improved. with an invoker with a race of reptilians lizards mans with bat wings that has nothing to do with the appearance of the dragons that we have known for more than 20 years in all of Warcraft, but not… but when it’s just a class for a special race WORSE THAN DH WITH ONLY ELFS FROM OLD WOW.
And does anyone mind Dragonflight? We will only say that we await the results, even when WotLK returns to its old queues and not in vain it is only due to the lack of experience of bad new devs that they cannot do anything to solve it.
Once we need the classes we want, but Blizzard putting the orange elitists on the CC sub forum to listen to us, is an example that just keeps ignoring the official game forum.

Hurling wrenches at people’s heads, stabbing them with screwdrivers or running around healing friends with jumper cables and duct tape does sound like ridiculous levels of cartoonish fun. I’d play it for the laughs, for a hot minute. Prolly be tossed into a pile of ‘meh’ classes after the initial entertainment wears off though.
In fact, several time ago I talked about how the future class of the tinker would be, a class where it would be different from goblins and gnomes, and apart from a different class to fit all races, not like the selfish evoker who stayed in that race of lizards that no matter how many wings they have are not dragons.
And it would even make a match between the JRPG against the Sage class from Final Fantasy XIV seen in laser caster mode, and seen in its RDPS version of a gunner as seen from the Survival hunter class.
we just need a new expansion that resembles what we saw in Ulduar, with some JRPG, titan-forged robots better than Zereth Mortis’s stupid robots and a neutral race better than the Evokers’ lizards with much better looking robots titan and female nano androis cyber animes waifus.
if the company gets out of the crap of its woke agenda and does worse crap without as much beauty as: STEVEN UNIVERSE but in Dragons.

I gravitate toward mobile, physical ranged play styles in every game that has multiple classes to pick from. I hope one day they add something other than hunter that fits that playstyle. I think tinker should.

While I wouldn’t object to a tinker class, it’s not really one that I would be hyped for. There are some others I would rather see before we reach tinkers.
I find Death Knights boring as hell. That doesn’t mean the game is any worse because we have them.
If you find the Idea boring, don’t play one.
I find Evokers boring. So I won’t play one. That doesn’t make dragonflight instantly bad, I’m still excited.
I have no idea where you’re getting that information, but It’s nice to dream. 
Can only be one race, that is stuck looking like a generic elf…

Same. I would trade everything I’ve seen about DF so far (except maybe Stony Tony) to have tinkers.
