This point is nonsense. You don’t pick a covenant until after questing through the main story through all the zones and after you have hit max level. You’re not doing that all within in an hour. You will also get to try out all the covenants as you level, so you will be able to make an informed choice.
Sorry within 8 hours and yeah I can make an informed “choice” right now 8 min cd cheat death and instant blink looks like I’m going the covenant I hate, the vampires.

You are not making an informed choice, though. You haven’t played alpha. Making any kind of decision based on an incomplete alpha is foolish.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. Alpha should have come with a NDA.
Nobody is ever going to be able to make a good choice. It’s basically a guessing game on what will be good or not. It’s basically like picking talents, but you can’t switch those talents for the entire expansion. So you’re screwed if your talent you chose isn’t viable due to nerfs in the middle of the expac.
I am making an informed choice also if alpha had an nda people would backoff shadowlands so fast it would make your head spin. The abilities literally do not matter for a tank you are not going to beat an instant cast blink and a cheat death on a shortish cd just not going to happen. They are also on the same soulbind which are going to be an even bigger issue than the abilities themselves are
Lol informed decision after leveling 10 levels. Unless they dial leveling back to vanilla speeds they will be like 2 days real life time at the most.
2 days into a new patch people don’t know what they want to use yet.

Unless you are in alpha, then your opinion on the system does not matter. You do not have experience with it, nor do you know how it works in play. All you have to go off of is datamined crap that may not even make it in, and streamer opinions (who often spout stuff off just to garner likes).
When there is an open beta, that is your opportunity to make your voice known, based on your experiences with the system.
Complaining about the state of something in ALPHA is ridiculous. lol

This is just silly, no offense. A lot of people have no fun if they don’t perform adequately.
The ones acting like they don’t care will be the main ones complaining when shadowlands hits and they see (virtual)reality.
It’s possible to be knowledgeable about things without having personally experienced them. I know that if I have an arm chopped off I would need to tie off the main artery to stop the bleeding or I die. Have never lost an arm myself though.
If I get in a major car crash I know it would be a good idea to try to cover me head if possible with my hands to help protect my brain but i haven’t been in a car crash.

I will be honest, I do not understand much of what you said because I stopped playing bfa a bit ago. I would say that is too confusing and I would most likely just pick the theme I am drawn to the most.
I had a hard time understand how the gear worked in bfa when we first got it as well. I miss the days when I could simply focus on getting more crit on my gear lol
So let me get this straight…
You can be fully knowledgeable about a system that is in alpha testing that you have never personally experienced…
…but then shut down players who have not done Mythic+ dungeons or rated Arenas when they have opinions about those systems?
