Are we really getting into the territory of “If even a few people don’t like it I feel bad” because if so, then I would just say:

In this world you cannot please everybody and if you try to do so you only make yourself miserable. Artists will get negative comments, it happens and you can’t let that get to you.

I feel OP is confusing negative comments about cash shop which is not related to the artist themself and mixing it with people who don’t like the transmog.
It’s more than a few people if you look at the comments. 90% of the comments in the main thread are negative, and a good portion of those are vile comments calling the set garbage and asking if the art team designed something as ugly as possible on purpose.
I am not. Both are there. And I feel like some people actually LIKE the set but still say that it looks like garbage just because they’re mad that it’s on the shop. Taking a dump on every single item that gets put on the shop does nothing but spread negativity for no reason. It’s not gonna stop Blizzard from putting items in the shop and it’s just going to make the artists feel bad if they try to look at feedback and have to comb through all the toxicity. In other words, it doesn’t matter if the negativity is aimed at the shop itself, people are still attacking the items themselves every single time instead of just not buying them.
You cannot change people’s opinion whether set is
- Gorgeous
- Downright garbage
- The best thing since sliced bread!@
You might as well make a song and expect the entire world to love it.

That’s not the point. If people don’t like a song, they just don’t listen to it, they don’t go on the music video on YouTube just to dislike it and leave a comment like “wow this song is garbage”. I’m not saying no one does that, but you won’t see 90% dislikes on songs unless it’s like, Friday, or something like that.
Nobody ASKED for more microtransactions.

I’ve seen so many underrated songs and artists get comments like “garbage song no wonder people don’t like it”.

Show me an artist whose songs always get 90% dislikes, along with tons of vile comments.
Hating items because they’re on the store is like hating songs because they’re on iTunes.
Ok with that kind of statement I’m starting to wonder if you even know what an artist goes through in their daily lives.
Or do you only consider world famous artists and not ordinary ones who struggle to make a living??

I’m really not. That’s why I made this thread in the first place. You’re honestly just defending toxicity because you think the cash shop’s existence justifies it. It doesn’t.

At this point, it’s no one’s problem other than yours. You wanted appreciation for artistic work and there is appreciation, you are just being spoilt by demanding everyone like it.
And at no point did I ever defend the toxicity. You’re just bringing things randomly because your argument fell apart from the first post I made in this thread:

It’s no wonder you can’t understand the difference between people’s arguments about the cash shop and their like or dislike of the transmog.

You can’t pretend the vile comments about the transmog itself aren’t there just to fit your narrative. Yes, people are hating on the store, but they’re ALSO hating on the set.

Do not expect everyone to be polite, be happy that there are people who love the set.

That’s the whole point of my thread, though. For people to stop being toxic. I understand most people don’t care and will just keep being toxic, but if I can make even ONE person understand that their behaviour is vile, then I’m happy.

my sister is an artist and art isn’t her only job. She’s not starving and she gets paid for her art.
sounds like OP just made bad choices in an art career and thinks all artists must be the same. I guarantee you they are not.
