There’s a difference between complaining and whining. One is legit and the other is just annoying to everyone else.
There’s more thread about warriors wanting a buff than RDF threads now, that should be enough of an indicator that were no longer in the “just a complaint” territory.
They weren’t considered due to historical bias, not that they’re actually tagged as PvP specs anywhere. The dev post quoted earlier again refers to them as HISTORICALLY or TRADITIONALLY pvp specs. Which has 0 meaning and given how specs that need no buffs at all get them on a whim it’s fair to expect Arms Warriors to be buffed at least to par with the other sources of their raid utility debuffs, namely Feral Druids and Combat Rogues.
Still waiting for the Shadow Priest buff too, that spec is underrepresented, painfully mid throughput wise and is also the ONLY DPS spec Priests have. If a Priest wants to DPS they have no other option but Shadow - and it’s 1 per raid and very mid.
I’m not looking for absolution. The precedent has been set, I’m using the tools that Blizzard has decided are the best means to get balance for my class.
DPS Warrior was ok in T4, competitive but not tearing up the meters. The situation improved in later phases with good scaling and the introduction of ArP gear.
Anecdotally, the majority of prot warriors I knew in TBC switched to Feral for T6 and beyond because prot warrior scaled poorly with gear. Paladins were really scaling very well by this point too.
Not saying you’re the one saying this, but the “you guys had your day in past xpacs” argument is really irrelevant to anyone that jumped into wrath classic as their starting point.
Not only is this completely false but its irrelevant too, this is the wotlk forums, we are currently in the wotlk era. We should focus on whats happening now.
If buffing warrior DPS is 100% off the table due to alleged scaling, then we need utility. I’m becoming more and more of a fan of a Shattering Throw glyph. It doesn’t directly buff warrior DPS but it would be QoL for the player as well as a boon to the raid. If usable in any stance it would solidify prot warrior as the “damage focused” block tank vs prot pal (mit focused), and multiple warriors could chain the throws during bloodlust, so bringing more than one would be okay. Just make sure an instant shatter doesn’t reset the swing timer, please.
I’d take a straight dps buff mind you but as we are we need either more utility or a dps increase. And some bugfixes.
You’re trolling right? As already stated, I’m playing the class regardless, as I have a fun time playing my Warrior. All I said, is that it’s time for something to be addressed, and that the most logical thing would be to remove the TG penalty… Or hell, make it a 5% penalty instead of 10%.
