I was really looking forward to story content, like all of the zones in the game and even other .2 patches. To me it feels like there isn’t so much a story… quest to quest to quest (and so on) as much as there is just…things to keep you busy. I understand people do enjoy that. I enjoy a good quest driven story. Ideally was utterly disappointed today and it sucks. I’m not saying this to be down, hell usually I’m one to have an open mind and give them the benefit of the doubt…but this is just a busy work patch. I truly do hate how disappointed I am today…its unfortunate.
Hey, it ain’t over till the female Kul’Tiran sings.
It depends really on how it’s implemented. As in a template (safe mode) quest creator where you choose between kill X of Y or kill X in Y or collect X of Y then yes it would suck as badly as the NPC quests do.
The idea however is to break out of that sterile box. If you’re out in the world and see a PC quest up it could be anything the PC wants and you’re free to accept it or leave it. That creates a substantial amount of player-driven content which the game sorely needs more of. People need things to do and the game needs more player interaction. An approach like this nails both needs.
Would it have potential issues? Yes. All systems have issues. Do the issues outweigh the benefits? That’s the question that ought to be asked.
everything was fine … until the bags and the mission registry were filled
Hard disagree. Argus was 10x more interesting than Nazjatar.
I wholeheartedly agree. I’ve logged on a bit and ran around Nazjatar some but the only conclusion I’ve come to between the lack of reward and un-fun-ness of the zone itself is am I seriously going to have to do months of this bulldookey just to fly?
I would be more upset if it wasn’t for this Friday.
I just cancelled my subscription. I was on the fence but wanted to give 8.2 a try but in the end it was just more snaring/pathing terrain to make things difficult, more convulated quests that were less about engagement and more about consuming time, and even more RNG instead of clear paths to progression. I’m sure lots of people feel differently and if you enjoy the game I’m all for your enjoyment. For me it was just added frustration. Peace out!
You would think with how bad BFA has been, that it can’t get any worse.
Boi were we wrong…
It’s how they handled it. It was a 415 the entire PTR, it was advertised on the forums, it was questioned, it was complained about, it was celebrated. Not a peep from a single blue, until suddenly, the patch hits and the weapon is 45, forty five!!, ilvls lower than what had been shown to us, and we were fed the “bug fix” excuse.
I don’t care that the ilvl dropped, I care that it was dropped unexpectedly, and by such a significant amount. Further reinforces players’ suspicions about other situations, since this isn’t the first time they’ve done this. They’ve lost a lot of player trust with their poor to nonexistent communication and, especially on the heels of that “We learned, we’re sorry!” video, this feels awful.
could not agree more. extremely boring, can’t even bring myself to log on anymore. not worth it
8.2 just proves BFA and everything about it, will always be a steaming pile of fail.
Ugh I hated Timeless Isles. It was easily the worst part of MoP for me.
I still don’t understand how other people could claim to like it.
Rares that required a group to bring down and jumping puzzles do not qualify as a ton of content. And I hate both those things.
I just don’t understand how a place that’s been occupied for thousands of years like Nazjatar is in ruins like it is.
Suramar City wasn’t in ruins when we discovered it, why is Nazjatar?
Shhh with logic.
Unimportant content. World quest / dailies always been part of WoW.
Who cares? You don’t deserve hand outs - nobody does.
You don’t do any of this. You don’t do PvP, Mythic Plus or Mythic Raiding. Do you even play this game?
Again. Maybe you can use that.
Please enlightenment as to what was so good about Timeless Isle. Catch up gear, a vendor, timeless coins, farm, PvP which everyone hated. 1 rare mount from a rare mob. 5 world bosses which were easy to kill.
But yes, Timeless Isle was a really good. Sometimes these forums hate to just hate, maybe is time for you to move away from this game and play something else.
ion sucks at his job
Did you even watch the damn Warbringer for Azshara. Do I need to describe what happened to the city?
Are you being sarcastic or can’t realize that there has been a long length of time between that cinematic and the present
The city looks pretty abandoned and rightfully so… it was completely destroyed. Her actual city or hold is the Eternal Palace.
Would’ve been cool to have a Suramar kind of storyline with Nazjatar where she has a huge underwater kingdom and you learn more about her people and a growing rebellion.
Idk.
Seems like wasted potential
