becuase wow isnt a cod/pupg game its a progressive mmorpg meaning the more the more you have progressed your char in game the stonger it becomes. your logic would imply a fresh lvl 1 who just bought the game has the same power output as a 120 wow does not and never has worked this way. the game revolves around gear you make gear not matter then the game falls apart
It’s an MMO they’ve always been unfair, hell the very aspect of a level system is unfair also time put into the game can be converted into skill usually.
PVP is broken since legion, gears and specs dominate skills , world craft pvp is no longer popular among the serious pvp players . it’s a pve based game… if you want to win at pvp, you have to be good at pve
Lol… The irony… You reaaaallyy need to look in a mirror when you say this.
Jugga doesn’t understand math unfortunately. I’m also not a teacher so part of it may be on me.
They’ve adjusted how many points you get in a season, nerfing the rating you can get off every match. They did it mid season season 1 because people were getting too high.
It’s been capped at 24 points since WoD.
It hasn’t been changed since.
Also, that’s CR, not MMR.
MMR and CR are two different things and MMR isn’t capped.
Soft resets on the ladder isn’t changing the MMR overall, it’s just changing peoples MMR so it’s harder to build it. It really screws up wintrading actually.
The cr you get off every win is based on an mmr formula. Your mmr vs their mmr. I suppose I named it incorrectly but the result is the same. They nerfed the mmr formula not mmr. The result is the same, rating kinda means jack all
It also screwed over some of the top people. Saw a lot of complaints from 3k people that wanted to push to 3.5 however it was physically impossible after the nerf.
Either way who cares? That had nothing to do with anything I said. It all boils down to rating meaning jack all. The old % based titles used to mean something but now the only title that does that is r1.
CR gain/loss is decided by the difference of your personal MMR versus the teams MMR you beat/lose.
E.g.
If your personal MMR is 3000 but your CR is 2500. You beat a 1500 team, you’re going to get 24 points. This is because your CR will always try it’s hardest to match your personal MMR. That’s why wintrading was so powerful when people actually played this game.
Whatever you wrote, really doesn’t make sense, or I’m reading it wrong perhaps.
Where?
You said they nerfed MMR. You haven’t really provided any proof.
If you do have it, could you please provide?
This is also correct. However even using their way, they linked in the middle of the season instead of showing the end of season.
Which shows a larger pool in WoD s2
(the season they were talking about) than current
Exactly what I said? There is a formula for how that is calculated… I remember seeing it way back in the day, not sure if it’s the same one as before.
Eh quite possible. What you’re saying is basically what I’m saying.
This isn’t the thread I was thinking about but it’s one of them. The one I talked about Dilly was saying how dumb the change was because nobody (except himself ) was queing. They’ve done this in other seasons too, I don’t care to go hunting.
Anyways regardless, what I said stands. Rating means jack all. It fluctuates every season. Blizzard tries to keep it roughly the same by adjusting but it doesn’t always work.
