Just about everything changes the way top players play because they’re obsessive about every detail of the game. It’s like a rocket car speeding down the road. A pebble rolls onto the road as pebbles as apt to do when the wind blows and the rocket car - and mind you the rocket car doesn’t need to exist, people like like going really, really fast - hits this pebble and flips out of control and explodes and then the rocket car driver goes onto youtube and starts making rant videos about how “Big Auto put the Pebble on the road to ruin their experience”.

Listening to the mad ravings of the rocket car drivers is one of the big reasons why this game has lost so many subs. We saw it with PvP, with PvP being demolished to make runway for these players while the PvP balance could only achieve changes by complete gymnastics working around the restrictions imposed on it. They tried to bulldoze M+ as well but the greater community saw what happened before and fought back. Now these rocket car drivers are at it again, trying to wreck an entire core expansion feature because they just can’t help themselves from wanting to go as fast as possible. You don’t have to play the game that way. If you can’t handle the danger of driving at top speeds - don’t. Rocket car driving is actually not the proper way to use the roads and you are supposed to be mature about the fact that doing so imposes risks on you. Life is not supposed to be easy for a rocket car driver. The roads are NOT made for you, you’re simply using them.

But, making so you can’t just switch your choice on the fly is making choices meaningful…you have to actually think and plan, or make things work, or you fail. Makes perfect sense. People complain WoW is easy, then actively get upset when things that make it harder are implemented
