I'm done with this snoozefest

Then he has options. He can simply not play the game. If I don’t like doing something, I’m not going to do it just because it’s the “social norm”. Go play another game you will enjoy. Stop agonizing over something you can’t change and do something productive.

Stop bothering the people that actually do enjoy the game and go do something you will enjoy.

Sure, Allied races are re-skins. I get that. I 100% agree. But saying that you should just get them for free with no work put into them is kind of ridiculous. It’s a game, and those skins are rewards for end game grinding.

It’s like starting up a new single player game and expecting to have all the best gear and weapons in the game just because you paid the purchase fee… That’s not realistic. You have to play the game to get the rewards.

BFA is an expansion. It’s end game content added on to other end game content. It’s exhausting to think that someone would come in and just expect end game content rewards for simply purchasing the game.

That’s what people are doing. A lot of them.

Blizzard devs don’t read the forums. That’s a known fact at this point. All you’re doing is complaining at the community. Blue forum moderators aren’t a direct line to developers. Your just shouting into the trees hoping to be heard… But there’s nobody to hear you. All you want is attention. All you want is for people to rally behind you and hate one Blizz with you so you can feel good about yourself.

If you don’t like the game. Leave. I’m not fangirling over anything. I’m literally telling you to stop giving the company your money and move on with your life.

And yet we have to endure all these posts about people complaining that they’re sad before they do…

  1. Never once did I say I didn’t like the game.

  2. I stated the Opposite

  3. Consumer Feedback has an impact on the product

  4. You CHOSE to come to this thread. You chose to be bothered. No one asked for the put downs. this was a post to blizz, not you personally. Please get over yourself.

5)"It’s like starting up a new single player game and expecting to have all the best gear and weapons in the game just because you paid the purchase fee… "
NO it’s not, take a solid look at who you are talking to. I am 120 and i didnt use a token for that.

6)“BFA is an expansion. It’s end game content added on to other end game content. It’s exhausting to think that someone would come in and just expect end game content rewards for simply purchasing the game.” read thread, it explains why. I was led to believe i would get them through purchasing BFA and Shadowlands. I am now down the tube a lot of money and I dont have what I wanted. When you order a pepperoni pizza and get a tomato with no cheese, instead is that okay?

  1. If I would have known from the beginning I couldnt get the mag’har orcs without doing all this boring nonsense I would have skipped over this game entirely and kept $120 in my pocket.

You don’t have to “endure” anything. Why are you complaining? Sounds like you’re the one who should leave . . . the forums.

By the way, how long did it take you to grind out your Worgen race?

Calling it a snoozefest is implying that you’re not happy with the game… Ie. You don’t like it.

Customer feedback is important. I agree completely. But nobody here can do anything with your feedback. Like I said, this is a community forum. It’s an open forum where the community can discuss the game with one another. It’s not a direct line to Blizzard and their developers. Your feedback isn’t being heard by anyone who can even remotely make a change. Email Blizzard directly, or send them a snail-mail letter. At least that way you’ll get it to a Blizzard employee that’s not just a forum cop.

I did choose to come to this thread. I; a part of the community; chose to come to a thread talking to the community. It showed up on the front page, and I clicked it to tell you that you’re not making any impact, and instead are just bringing down the community.

Ok… So start doing the end-game content now. “Go kill the boss” and do all the bonus objectives. Ie. Grind out the extra perks.

You do have access to them. They’re in the game. You simply have to unlock them. It’s like a game saying “Buy this expansion and you’ll have access to X weapon that does double damage” But it never said you’ll be giving the weapon for free. It merely states that it’s in the game for you to find and unlock. Same thing goes for your skins.

Not doing your research ahead of time isn’t anybody elses problem but your own my friend.

Worgen aren’t skins, they’re a completely new race. They weren’t advertised as an allied race.

It took a few weeks for me to unlock all the allied races, and I was fine with that. I have all of them up until the mechagnomes. (don’t have a L120 Hordie yet, so I haven’t unlocked that side yet.)

It takes time. It’s literally a grind for a skin, which is no different than any other game where you grind for gear/skins.

How are you being “bothered?” Did someone force you to read this thread?

And if you’re enjoying the game right now, why aren’t you playing instead of trying to silence players who aren’t enjoying the game?

finally! Some constructive criticism from a naysayer. That I can respect. Now lets get into this.

BFA is the snoozefest. The Dailies and Rep are a Snoozefest. These can be changed in a few ways. For one thing I dont think you need exalted just to unlock a race. Getting their Heritage armor, new transmogs, and mounts, etc would have been a vastly better option.

Another thing, I would have preferred all allied races started at lvl 1 same as the others.

Yeah I didnt do enough research. But where is a new potential customer going to see the fine print that says “Allied Races will be locked behind a rep grind that will take weeks to complete”. Just saying they are “locked” doesnt mean anything to me. It doesnt explain the context. I’ve played many RPGs from Morrowind and Oblivion, to Pokemon starting in Gen 1, to Armored Core, KOTOR 1/2, other MMOs like SWTOR, TERA, SWG, and ESO to name a few.

Also what brings down a community, is throwing put downs on them and personally coming after them, just saying. Being polite can make a world of difference. I recommend you do it more often. No reason to be mean or cruel to someone you just came across.

You mean you got to play a whole new race without grinding anything?

Aren’t we entitled.

Yes. =( I’m being held hostage and made to read sad threads about not wanting to play the game they bought. Please send help.

I literally just told you that I’ve done the exact same grind the OP is talking about not wanting to do. I’ve unlocked the allied races for my faction. I’ve been there, I’ve done it.

He has access to Worgen as well. I don’t know where you’re coming from.

You also had far, far more time to prepare for said grind and knew about said grind. I was blind sided by it and I am overwhelmed. I understand what you are getting at, me being ignorant and ill informed as a consumer. But you cant compare the two in terms of player experience.

Also Blizz got the message as to why i left when they asked me to specify my reason for doing so. I left my constructive criticism in there. I wish i could reserve my remaining sub time towards Shadowlands somehow but thats not possible.

Yes you do.

Blizzard’s hit bottom. Where you used to be able to just play the race you wanted, race and appearance are now “content.”

if you’re complaining this hard about a rep grind or two, it’s unlikely you’re going to enjoy the other expansions.

correct.
the game has plonked along just fine without you for 15 years, but you come along and expect things to be changed to suit you?

imagine complaining about how hard done by you are, when you could just jump into the game at max level.
once upon a time, we had to dedicate time to snoozefest stuff like leveling.

Exactly!

And since Blizzard very heavily advertised the ARs as a main feature of BfA, this information should have been as prominently provided.

For years prior, new races and new classes were simply unlocked by launching the expansion. Existing Blizzard customers had absolutely no reason to assume that these “new” races would be locked behind any grind. And new Blizzard customers obviously don’t care much for this playstyle and find the trickle-down rep rewards too little and unsatisfying.

I always considered Blizzard’s failure to mention this grind anywhere in the much hyped hype for BfA, the functional equivalent of misleading advertising.

And I leveled too, so what? I dont mind leveling at all, not one bit. There is a difference between doing the actual expansion and grinding the same exact quests over, and over, and over again. And I played other expansions. Namely BC, MoP, and WoD. Not an issue one bit! All were better than BFA imo. And yeah the game has plonked along without me for 15 years. But not without the massive amount of former subs that are leaving by the day to this crap. And I know this to be the case through conversations with these individuals. I wonder where you guys are going to go if the game ever peters out. People like you help a game to die by driving people away with your own nasty input.

you could have read the forums that you needed to rep grind… but like every “bye” post no one cares

So, after slogging through this entire post, i can come to one conclusion.

You did not do the research. The fact that there is a mountain of data out there on how to get what you want is irrelevant in your eyes.

Take your time to vent, get it out of your system and go enjoy your Steam library.
World of Warcraft will still be here when you decide to come back, hopefully a little less short-sighted.
