To be honest, the allied races should have been unlocked once you completed the story for their respected zones to obtain them. Given that your contribution made them trust you and want to become allies with your faction. Same goes for flying mounts. Once you completed that zone(s) story, you become familiar with that area and will be able to fly given you know the land marks well enough for it to be “safe”, though you shouldn’t really have to do this in the first place.
To have both of these locked behind reputation is stupid. So much can be said on this issue and has been, but the problem is those above don’t listen. Just like how they ignored all those players feedback when they asked to write them.
The definition of fun varies for different people. Just because you find the content “dull” does not mean the others feel the same. For me this patch has been an absolute blast. I have been so engrossed with farming visions that I haven’t showered for 3 days. Absolutely loving the dailies content so far.
Hey OP just a reminder when you do finally unlock Mag’har Orcs you’re going to be doing those same world quests all over again on your fun new allied race character for a measly 75 rep points and 11 gold.
I personally would enjoy the game more if I was playing a toon I actually wanted to play. If all my toons were suddenly turned into a mechagnome I would quit this game. So, yes. What toon you play does have some bearing.
Soooo, how are things going for you after turning yourself into a fox?
haha, no i wont because after i max rep the first time I am never returning to new content until Shadowlands. I get to do the Classic World-MoP with extreme joy. wont be touching the zones without flying! XD
i didn’t answer your question, because it wasn’t me you were responding to…?
i merely quoted you to clarify something which had already been discussed.
can and could, are two different things.
now you can. back then, you couldn’t.
oh just stop.
go and read the EULA.
vanilla is the predecessor of TBC.
if you came along in TBC as you claim, you had to play through the vanilla content in order to get to the TBC content.
hodir and tabards weren’t exactly “early wow”.
the classic world no longer exists… unless you’re planning on playing the classic client.
…which is probably worth a look if you’ve got extra time on your hands now
Because the name “allied race” implies that it’s not a core race. So what made you expect that you’d have the same access? I’m just being fair here.
I’d understand if they introduced a new core race and you’d have to grind for it. I’d understand that anger completely. But these are not full core races.
I already bought WoW sometime ago. In fact I still have the CD’s. Blizzard charges a subscription so you can play on their server. But if they no longer offer their servers for me to play a game I already paid for, I think it’s perfectly fine for someone else to offer those servers.
U.S. courts may have a different take on it than I do, and that’s fine. But Blizzard isn’t going to have a favorable outcome in Poland or Russia, if they’re able to file a case at all.
