There are like 40 or so servers online this very second with world buffs. Why are you too lazy to login to the game, OP?
Reading comprehension is important. No where did he say all Rogues and Warriors, he said “Literally the only people crying about this change are Warriors and Rogues.” IE: There are complaints and those complaints are generated by warriors and rogues. Which is true, he did not say “All warriors and rogues are complaining”
I don’t need an excuse for needing them.
Like I’ve said previously my horde and alliance guilds killed Sapphiron and Kel’Thuzad without having world buffs on.
It’s not about needing them or not needing them.
World buffs, simply put, just make the game better.
I think what you meant to say was… World buffs, simply put, just make the game easier.
This is exactly what Blizzard is trying to not do. The game was already too easy because of the exploitive game play that players like you were doing in order to consistently obtain world buffs. The game, and all raid content was not designed for entire raids to be running in with world buffs. Due to the exploitive game play that players developed, Blizzard is forced to remove the ability of World Buffs to be exploited, ie removing them from raids. Now we get to do the raids closer to the as intended difficulty instead of the everything is easy difficulty that the exploitive gameplay provided.
I can say that the moments I remember the most were gathering with my guildies in Org for head drops or STV for hearts. However losing 2 hours of my day because someone pulled trash wrong is somethign I won’t miss lol.
See yall in Classic!

Which exploits on my horde characters did I use to obtain world buffs, I am, truly, all ears, tell me about it.
Exploitive game play to obtain world buffs in case you did not know.
Collusion with opposite faction. There is a reason the factions can not talk to each other. Colluding with the opposite faction priest to mind control and reset the buff turn in mob is exploitive game play. You may not have directly participated in it, but you benefitted from it all the same.
Pretty much every single player in WoW classic benefited from this exploitive game play. This single thing is why dragonslayer buff was so widely available. It was not meant to be dropped every 30 minutes of every day. The players exploited this, and now we get to pay the consequences.
It is entirely true. They did not say every guild cleared it without world buffs. When the boosted rogue said you could read at second grade level they were exaggerating your abilities.
I doubt the 1 ony reset every 4 weeks was really game breaking bro.
Nice try though.
You must have played on a really dead server. On our server, you could sometimes get 5 resets an hour. During prime time, you could stand in the city for 15 to 20 minutes and be guaranteed a dragonslayer buff.
The intention was 1 time every 8 hours at MAX. The intention was not for every single player in every single raid to go into every single zone with 50% more power than they mobs were designed for.
I can honestly say though that DMF was designed for raids. It is the only world buff that was put into place in such a way that each and every player can get it, at their convenience, and for the raid. This is also why it only happens every four weeks.
Songflower was designed for a random player to be running through the woods and see they could pick this flower and get a small power boost for an hour. The player base defeated this by the implementation of addons to track when each and every songflower would be available to be picked. That completely defeats the intent.
Tribute buffs were designed for the group, and only that group, to get a small extra reward for doing the tribute run vs the regular run. Hunters have destroyed this by doing hunter runs and selling those buffs all day long. I know because I was a hunter and I made 500 to 700 a day doing this.
Dragonslayer was designed as an extra reward for the person turning in their quest. That is why it is a one time deal. Everyone else that happens to be around gets a lucky buff also. It was clearly not meant to be a regular and consistent thing, thus the 8 hour time restriction.
I benefited more from world buffs than most players did simply because I was a hunter and was able to sell those buffs. Even with this, I still believe they should be removed from raids. I would like to see the raid mobs as intended instead of slaughtering them in 30 to 60 seconds.
that’s subjective. and enough players disagree that blizzard decided to remove them from raids. the end.
“I can honestly say though that DMF was designed for raids. It is the only world buff that was put into place in such a way that each and every player can get it, at their convenience, and for the raid.”
Did you play on a PVP server? People killed other people all the time at Darkmoon fair
completely irrelevant and missing the point
So what’s your argument against world buffs then? Why should we remove them?
I already told you. scroll up.
Solid argument. LOL.
I played private servers before Classic, I played Classic WoW, and I currently play TBC Classic. Don’t know if you’d consider me part of the Classic community for having a level 70 character.
World buffs were annoying to get. Have to be at the right places at the right times, then before the chronoboon, had to raid log to save them. After the chronoboon, had to fork over gold to save them, an inconvenience I likewise could do without.
To those that say that we should find a guild that doesn’t use world buffs, easier said than done. It isn’t casuals that go with the flow and are fine with you not bringing consumables and whatnot that are leading most guilds. Most guilds will take note of you not bringing world buffs, and there is additional peer pressure from within, when you are noted for not performing as well as the people who do bring world buffs.
Without world buffs, I would no longer be pressured into doing something I don’t enjoy, and I’d be able to play my character whenever I want, however I want, without worrying about my buffs falling off.
I would also like to point out that there is currently a private server with world buffs disabled in raids. And go figure, that is more successful than the Classic era servers by a large margin.
So, I think I explained why I dislike world buffs, and for your information, I have played this game.
To the “I’m locked up I have world buffs”
Make another level 60…and play that it only takes 3-4 days to get 1-60 in wow classic
World buffs encouraged us to not play our characters.
They encouraged toxic behavior that actually hindered the community
Seeing everyone bunched up in Org is not a community. Its simply an AoE buff everyone is trying to get so they can log out for 3 days.
People don’t need to post on their mains. I know a lot of people who DELETED their characters because of how bad WBs were.
Stop being so pertentious. You have no idea what you are talking about and WBs are GONE. Kiddo.
“They encouraged toxic behavior that actually hindered the community”
Some people had fun killing people with full world buffs, but that’s just part of classic wow
