It was during an interview before launch. I dont remember which one off the top of my head. But it was made clear the devs werent dedicated to a single class, something along the lines of them working on one class then jumping to another.
I dont have an opinion about Bellular because im not knowledgable enough about him to even form an educated opinion. I have seen quite a few people disregard his opinion as hyperbole in multiple instances…so perhaps not the best source for those stats…then again, could be correct. Not for me to say either way.

Honestly, I can’t stand Bellular anymore. The only time I listened to anything of his was during a literal hatred spiral I went through regarding WoW during 9.1, and even then I realized it’d just be easier to take a break than watch his weird drivel. Dude goes where the money goes, but can’t help getting his bit in about WoW either way.
(He’s also horribly misinformed and uses time talking about WoW to hype himself up as a developer for some game he’s making.)

You don’t have to trust in him but the end credits for Dragonflight is longer than say Shadowlands end credits.
I was reading the first sentence of this thinking about Overgrown Ancient before I even read further and so glad you brought that up.
Got my first keystone on my alt, a 250-something-ilvl. Algeth’ar. Bummer. Just waiting until next week for the new key, hopefully something different.
I did try, 5 wipes on it in a group of similar ilvl before we called it. It just was not happening. We did not have the defensives, healing to make it through. I’m sure if I really sat there and looked for good people with higher ilvls than me, or ask a guildie to carry me through, but who needs it… it’s a +2. Not gonna make a big thing out of it just not gonna do it.
It’s really astounding. In comparison, Shadowmoon Valley has been a breeze (don’t buff this bliz, it’s been fun) to clear on much higher keys. You get the AA key and think, “Oh no.” Bummer.

And to your general sentiment, retribution paladin has never had a bluepost for dragonflight and the multitude of changes. That’s right. Not one bluepost. I’m not exaggerating. Zero. Since Dragonflight was announced in april to date, there has not been a post. Everyone else got “Feedback: Druids,” “Feedback: Rogues” all summer long. It’s baffling because ret feedback has been overwhelmingly negative for the better part of a year now. Somehow the least mobile spec in the game got its mobility nerfed. Entire defensives removed from the tree (spellwarding). Single-target must-have talents gated by pure aoe talents. What a mess. Any talk or changes from bliz for .5 for one of the top-5 most-played specs in the game? Nope. Zilch. What a mess. Approaching this with the same attitude as Algeth’ar, just not playing my ret. Main for years. Shame.
But overall I’m loving DF fr and having fun with my mage.
Just sometimes I wish the would communicate something, anything when the community is virtually unanimous on something. The answer may be “No,” but I personally would appreciate hearing “Our goal for this feature is X, Y, Z, we feel it is succeeding in that and are not planning to change it because ___.”
