As we head into week 3 of Season 1 on Tuesday, we currently have 0 communication or announcements of nerfs to the very obviously overtuned and glaring problem dungeons and bosses. You stated in your last round of “nerfs” that you want to wait a while before doing anything. Well unfortunately, you’ve decided that these 8 dungeons won’t be in the Mythic+ pool in season 2 which means that “wait a while” will end up being too late. The time to act is now.
It is an indictment of your balance team that Algeth’ar Academy’s Overgrown Ancient has been called overtuned since testing and you have done nothing to improve or fix it. Meanwhile a dungeon like Shadowmoon Burial Grounds falls over on it’s face when you look at it. What makes it even worse is the fact that your minds read those two statement and rather than say “we should listen to overwhelming player feedback and nerf Overgrown Ancient” you say “we should make Shadowmoon Burial Grounds harder” and that mindset is horrible.
Why have you still not learned this lesson? When players are giving you this feedback on tuning and you do nothing about it people have stopped doing the content. Did shadowlands participation rate fall off not teach you this? There is no such thing as “just get good” when mechanics are 1 shotting people or rotting them down beyond what any healer can deal with.
They listen to streamers and esport teams not actualy player base.
Thats the problem guilds like method have helped run the overall game into the ground.
You would know the balancing issues if you actually did any hard content. OP has 17 timed while you are doing 9 keys ? Might be good to read and see if there any actual related issues which are happening in game.
The fact that there has been communication in the last week and multiple nerfs, to include the specific boss the OP mentioned, is not a theory. It is a verifiable fact that I have supported with change notes multiple times at this point.
I’ve been reading your back and forth and I don’t understand the point you’re trying to make or why what level key the OP has run matters. OP said Blizzard hasn’t nerfed anything or communicated lately. False. OP also said that the Ancient hasn’t been “improved or fixed” since launch. Also false. It’s all right in the links that Nikolo provided, which is an article from only six days ago.
While we want to be careful not to change too much as players are still figuring out the new dungeons, we’ve identified some areas where we’d like to act on feedback sooner than later.
Guys, dungeons are not tuned in properly. No point in putting your fellow gamer down. When they are pointing out issues.
Possibly, I like how much you care. For me, they don’t have a ‘big idea’ of how things are supposed to work - so if you don’t have a world vision, no way that player feedback can matter, because you haven’t committed to anything. Anyway, I wish Bliz. cared as much as you do.
